Requirements & Qualifications:

  • Education: BBA/MBA in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. (CA/CMA/ACCA part-qualified or fully qualified candidates are highly preferred).

  • Experience: 3+ years of experience in accounting, financial analysis, or auditing, preferably with a focus on US/UK/International clients.

  • Communication: Native-level fluency in English (Written & Spoken) is mandatory. You must be comfortable leading video calls with C-level executives.

  • Technical Skills: Expert proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Xero.

  • Advanced Excel skills: (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, Financial Modeling).

  • Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving ability, emotional intelligence, and the ability to work under pressure during tax seasons.

We specialize in providing cloud-based bookkeeping, financial reporting, and tax compliance services to small businesses, startups, and entrepreneurs worldwide. Our mission is to streamline finances using modern technology like Xero and QuickBooks, ensuring our clients can focus on growing their businesses.

The Role

We are looking for a highly skilled Business Analyst who bridges the gap between complex financial data and client business goals. You will not just be crunching numbers; you will be the primary point of contact for our international clients, interpreting their needs, managing their financial health, and providing actionable business insights.

The ideal candidate has deep domain knowledge in accounting/finance, impeccable English communication skills, and a strategic mindset to help develop both our clients' businesses and our own service offerings.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Client Communication & Needs Assessment

  • Serve as the primary liaison for international clients (primarily US-based), conducting meetings via Zoom/Google Meet in fluent professional English.

  • Understand the unique business models of diverse clients (e-commerce, real estate, SaaS, etc.) to tailor financial solutions that meet their specific needs.

  • Translate complex accounting jargon into clear, actionable business advice for client owners.

2. Financial Analysis, Reporting & Bookkeeping

  • Oversee and review international bookkeeping processes to ensure compliance with US GAAP and other international accounting standards.

  • Prepare and analyze monthly/quarterly financial reports (Income Statement, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow) with detailed commentary on financial health.

  • Perform deep-dive analysis on client revenues, expenses, and variances to identify trends and cost-saving opportunities.

  • Manage complex financial tasks including multi-currency bank reconciliations, Accounts Payable/Receivable management, and payroll processing.

3. Business Development & Strategy

  • Identify opportunities to upsell additional Nifty Bookkeepers services (e.g., tax planning, cleanup services, CFO advisory) based on client data.

  • Analyze internal workflows to develop more efficient reporting processes and improve service delivery.

  • Assist clients in developing their business by providing financial forecasts, budgeting assistance, and cash flow projections.

4. Technology & Process Management

  • Utilize and manage cloud accounting platforms (Xero, QuickBooks Online) and add-on ecosystems (Bill.com, Gusto, etc.).

  • Troubleshoot software integration issues and recommend tech-stack improvements to clients.
