Educational Requirements:
∎ Bachelor in Engineering (BEngg), Executive Master of Business Administration (EMBA)
∎ - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
∎ - Proven experience as a Database Developer or in a similar role.
∎ - Strong expertise in database design, normalization, and schema modeling.
∎ - Proficiency in SQL and experience with relational database management systems (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server).
∎ - Familiarity with database performance tuning and optimization techniques.
∎ - Understanding of data security and privacy standards.
∎ - Experience with database backup and recovery solutions.
∎ - Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
∎ - Strong communication and collaboration skills.
∎ - Ability to work both independently and within a team.
∎ - Optional: Knowledge of NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, Cassandra, Redis) and cloud-based database services (e.g., AWS RDS, Azure SQL Database) will be a plus.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ 1. Database Design and Architecture:
∎ - Collaborate with stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into well-structured database designs.
∎ - Design database schemas, tables, indexes, and relationships that optimize data storage and retrieval.
∎ 2. Database Development:
∎ - Develop, implement, and maintain SQL code, stored procedures, functions, and triggers to support application requirements.
∎ - Optimize database queries and ensure efficient data retrieval and manipulation.
∎ 3. Database Performance Tuning:
∎ - Monitor and analyze database performance using performance tuning tools and techniques.
∎ - Identify and address performance bottlenecks and optimize query execution.
∎ 4. Data Integrity and Security:
∎ - Implement and enforce data security measures, including access controls, encryption, and authentication.
∎ - Ensure data integrity through validation, constraints, and data cleansing processes.
∎ 5. Backup and Recovery:
∎ - Implement and manage database backup and recovery strategies to prevent data loss and minimize downtime.
∎ 6. Collaboration:
∎ - Collaborate with software developers to integrate databases with applications and ensure seamless data flow.
∎ - Work closely with data analysts to provide reliable and accurate data for reporting and analysis.
∎ 7. Documentation:
∎ - Create and maintain documentation related to database design, data dictionaries, and processes.
∎ 8. Continuous Improvement:
∎ - Stay up-to-date with the latest database technologies, trends, and best practices.
∎ - Proactively identify opportunities to enhance database performance, security, and reliability.
