  • Age At least 22 years
  • 4-6 years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or Systems Engineering with a heavy focus on automation.
  • Strong scripting and programming skills (Python, Bash, Go).
  • Deep hands-on experience writing Ansible playbooks and Terraform modules for production environments.
  • Expertise in Linux administration (Oracle Linux or RHEL preferred) and virtualization (VMware).
  • Experience with modern CI/CD pipelines, observability tools, and transitioning legacy infrastructure to code-driven platforms.
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as OCI, AWS or Azure and cloud infrastructure automation is a plus.


Responsibilities & Context:

Therap is looking for an Automation & Platform Engineer to be the catalyst for our SRE transformation. Currently, our infrastructure operations rely heavily on manual efforts and ticket-based workflows. Your mission will be to engineer the platform that makes manual operations obsolete. You will build self-service tooling, automate routine tasks such as OS patching and deployments and modernize our monitoring and observability stack. You will act as a force-multiplier for the entire global operations team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, build, and maintain automation workflows using Ansible and Terraform to provision, configure and manage VMware and Linux environments.
  • Build and automate cloud infrastructure to support secure, scalable and reliable application environments.
  • Lead the shift from legacy monitoring to modern observability platforms.
  • Build automated self-service tools and workflows to reduce reliance on manual ticket requests and enable faster infrastructure delivery.
  • Partner with development teams to integrate operations early in the architectural process, creating a resilient environment for Therap’s applications.
  • Act as a technical mentor for the SysOps and OnCall teams, upskilling the staff in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and SRE principles.
  • Participate in incident response and blameless post-incident reviews and improve automation and reliability to reduce recurring incidents and unnecessary alerts.
