Experience
10+ years of enterprise-level Linux Systems Engineering experience (Oracle Linux, RHEL, or CentOS)
Proven track record of leading infrastructure automation projects from scratch
Automation and Cloud
Deep proficiency with Ansible and Terraform
Experience with CI/CD concepts and version control (GitLab/GitHub)
Hands-on experience with cloud platforms, preferably Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) or AWS
Infrastructure
Strong foundational knowledge of Linux and enterprise virtualization
Experience or familiarity with in any of the following areas is a plus:
Enterprise networking (Cisco architectures, F5 LTM)
Security appliances (Fortinet/Fortigate)
Storage arrays (NetApp or other) is a major plus
Soft Skills and Leadership
Exceptional communication skills with the ability to lead collaborative, cross-functional global meetings

Responsibilities & Context:
Technical Execution & Architecture
Apply your knowledge and experience to:
Champion Automation: Design and deployment of the Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform (AAP) and Terraform to eliminate manual configurations and streamline server provisioning
Transform towards SRE: Transition the infrastructure team to a more proactive Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) model, focusing on system availability, performance optimization, and self-healing systems
Modernize Tooling: Participate in evaluation and migration of older monitoring frameworks toward comprehensive observability platforms
Data Center & Cloud Management: Support and optimize our high-performance VMware environment, enterprise storage and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) environments
Team Leadership & Evolution
Upskill & Mentor: Act as a technical mentor to a deeply experienced team of Linux and Network engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning, psychological safety, and open innovation
Bridge Dev & Ops: Increase communication between Software Development and Operations, ensuring infrastructure and compliance requirements are discussed early in the software development lifecycle (SDLC)
