Responsibilities & Context:
Support daily kitchen activities and production schedules.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations and kitchen equipment.
Assist in receiving, storing, and rotating food supplies using FIFO(First in, First out) principles.
Ensure proper use and maintenance of kitchen tools and equipment.
Follow all food safety regulations and HACCP procedures.
Maintain personal hygiene and enforce sanitation standards.
Ensure safe handling, storage, and disposal of food products.
Report any health, safety or quality concerns immediately.
Assist in monitoring stock levels and ingredient consumption.
Help reduce food waste and control kitchen costs.
Report shortages, damages, or spoiled inventory to the Head Chef.
Work cooperatively with chefs, cooks, helpers, and service staff.
Train and guide kitchen helpers when required.
Support the head chef during busy service periods and special events.
