Experience:

This is a full-time position for sourcing, supplier communication, international purchasing, LC handling, documentation, and international & local logistics work. We are looking for individuals who have the ability to think laterally and possess a sound understanding of international purchasing. Please read carefully before applying for this position.
Job Responsibility:
Manage all commercial activities related to foreign procurement and purchases, including the issuance of PO, PI, L/C opening & amendments/corrections, shipment flowup, negotiation, payment realization, and release through phone and email with overseas suppliers.
Effectively perform international procurement tasks, ensuring that all processes are managed efficiently in a timely manner.
Negotiate with existing suppliers and actively source new suppliers to optimize costs and ensure a consistent supply.
Maintain proper liaison with trade bodies, banks, shipping lines, C&F agents, transport agents, insurance companies, and Customs & VAT departments to ensure smooth operations.
Follow up on Import L/C processes, ensure proper HS codes for timely customs clearance, and implement strategies to reduce additional costs.
Coordinate with confirming banks to secure competitive confirmations for Import L/Cs.
Communicate with transport agencies to arrange for the transportation of goods from Chittagong to the warehouse.
Make accurate entries of imported goods into the ERP system.
Coordinate with confirming banks to secure competitive confirmations for Import L/Cs.
Communicate with banks for the timely collection of Proceeds Realization Certificates (PRC).
Negotiate preferential exchange rates for imports with banks.
Follow up on Annual Import Entitlements with customs bonds to ensure compliance.
Monitor all commercial processes related to foreign purchases to ensure they are executed in a timely and cost-effective manner.
Maintain commercial reports related to foreign purchase and import activities and inform management as required.
Perform any other duties as assigned by management.
