∎ Strong programming skills in Python, Java, or Scala for data manipulation, automation, and workflow development.
∎ Proficiency in SQL and relational databases.
∎ Expertise in modern data engineering tools and frameworks (e.g., Apache PySpark, Jupyter Notebooks, Apache Flink, Kafka, Debezium, Apache Spark, Apache Hive Metastore, Nessie, Apache Iceberg).
∎ Proficiency in working with cloud data platforms such as AWS Redshift, Azure Synapse, Google BigQuery, Databricks, Snowflake, Delta Lake.
∎ Experience with version-controlled workflows (Git).
∎ At least 2 to 8 years of work experience in relevant fields.
∎ Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
∎ Team-oriented mindset with a customer-centric approach.
∎ Customer-centric, self-motivated, and capable of meeting deadlines.

Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines to ingest, process, and store data from multiple sources into the data lake.
∎ Ensure a deep understanding of ETL/ELT processes, data modeling, and cloud-based data platforms.
∎ Build and optimize efficient ETL/ELT pipelines to process and transform structured and unstructured data.
∎ Implement Change Data Capture (CDC) and ensure data synchronization across systems.
∎ Develop and optimize lakehouse architecture, such as Delta Lake, for analytical purposes.
∎ Ensure support for advanced use cases like time travel (historical data versioning).
∎ Optimize query performance, storage strategies, and data models for large-scale datasets (10TB+).
∎ Ensure data quality, consistency, and security through validation checks and monitoring.
∎ Enforce data governance policies and compliance with regulatory standards.
∎ Ensure integration and management of different public or private cloud platforms (e.g., OCI, AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) for data warehousing and data lake.
∎ Ensure expected performance benchmarks for object storage and parquet file management.
∎ Work closely with data analysts, data scientists, and business stakeholders to understand data needs and provide reliable data solutions.
