Responsibilities & Context:

The research coordinator will be responsible for coordinating and managing ECD and mental health-related research at Cox’s Bazar. He or she will develop training manuals and research tool administration guidelines, organize and conduct training for research associates and field research assistants, supervise the data collection process, analyze the data, and prepare reports. He or she will be responsible for validating or developing research tools and training the research assistants. One of the main responsibilities is to produce the research reports and share them with supervisors on time. He or she will communicate with the HO team for technical assistance to run the research smoothly.

  • Coordinate all the research activities undertaken by the child protection program and also the activities of the research team members.

  • Coordinate and train the research team members on different kinds of research tools, data entry, and data cleaning activities through SPSS and relevant tools.

  • Supervise and monitor the data collection, data checking, data entry, data cleaning and preliminary data analysis of different research projects.

  • Validate the research tool and develop the research questionnaire, research tool administration guidelines, and training manual.

  • Analysis the research data, produce research reports and share with the relevant person.

  • Research findings dissemination and advocacy.

  • Design, conduct, and attend the training, meetings, and workshops.

  • Cooperate and collaborate with research partners and other stakeholders.

  • Communicate with the core team members of different programs and HO

  • Ensure the safety of Programme Participants, people who come into contact with the organisation and team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation including sexual exploitation and abuse (SEA) to achieve the programme's goals of safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.

  • Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action. 

  • Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place and encourage others to do so.
