Educational Requirements:
∎ Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Civil Engineering, Diploma in Engineering in Civil Engineering, Bachelor degree in any discipline

Experience Requirements:
∎ At least 3 year(s)

Job Responsibilities:
∎ General Part:
∎ Implementation of the Project in target location/s.-60%
∎ Responsible for all community-level activities at assigned location/s under supervision of Project Manager.
∎ Conduct FGDs with different stockholders and communities for beneficiary selection and other information collection.
∎ Conduct door to door surveys to finalize project participants list
∎ Supervise the participant’s identification as per fixed selection criteria and by the methodology fixed by IR.
∎ Finalize the participants by ensuring endorsement and validation from relevant authorities such as UP and Upazila administration.
∎ Ensure the inclusion of gender, persons with disabilities, elderly, and other vulnerable communities according to the IR Principle and guidelines during participant selection and other steps of implementation.
∎ Prepare attendance sheet, muster roll, and any other documents for audit compliances.
∎ Conducted post-distribution monitoring (PDM) preferably using KOBO software (if required).
∎ Ensure other planned activities such as various workshops and meetings.
∎ Maintain coordination and cooperation among the team members and external stakeholders for smooth team movement and uphold the organizational reputation.
∎ Ensure community mobilization.
∎ Practice and promote climate mitigations.
∎ Project intervention monitoring-10%
∎ Supervise Emergency Relief/recovery/rehabilitation/Wash distribution activities at the beneficiary level.
∎ Supervise Project-related activities especially Hygiene kits Food and CASH distribution at the beneficiary level.
∎ Supervise and monitor each stage of the activities. Ensure that standards and instructions are given by the line manager, as well as Islamic Relief Bangladesh procedures,
∎ Monitor the working progress & ensure the quality of project activities & inform the project manager
∎ Take measures to ensure security during cash/Kind distribution
∎ Effective and efficient use of project assets and resources-10%
∎ Ensure that local purchase and expenditure are done as per the Islamic Relief Bangladesh policy.
∎ Maintain the stock book, Inventory, and other essential register properly and timely in an effective manner.
∎ Checking all bill vouchers within the team and forwarded to Finance officer for necessary action.
∎ Support for the Procurement of materials like requisition, quotation collection, etc.
∎ Do effective and appropriate networking and coordination with different stakeholders-5% Formulation of the project implementation committee.
∎ Involve Union Parishad, Upazila Parishad, Union Disaster Management Committee & other stakeholders for implementation of the project.
∎ Reporting and documentation-10%
∎ Prepare and submit plan and progress of activities to the line manager weekly, monthly and as per project needs:
∎ Maintain & preserve project documents such as muster roll, attendance sheet, photographs, reports, and media coverages.
∎ Report back any problems and constraints encountered during the activities and suggest operational solutions.
∎ Others-5%
∎ Propose some methodology, according to the proposal, and provide it with the experience and lessons learned from the other organizations.
∎ Ensure visibility of the project.
∎ Responsible for seasonal (Ramadan & Qurbani) & emergency response programs if require.
∎ Perform any other duties assigned by Supervisor
∎ Being a member of Islamic Relief as a child-friendly organization, it is the core responsibility and obligation of each staff member to understand and obey IR Child Protection & PSEA Policy and respond accordingly as and when required.
∎ Technical Part:
∎ Implementation of the Project in target unions and Upazilas-30%
∎ Conduct FGD with different stockholders and communities.

∎ Supervise and monitor each stage of the activities. Ensure that standards and instructions are given by the line manager, as well as Islamic Relief Bangladesh procedures,
∎ Monitor the working progress & ensure the quality of project activities & inform the line manager.
∎ Ensure the construction / Installation work relevant to emergency humanitarian support-30%
∎ Make a plan for construction activities as per project need.
∎ Prepare design & BOQ of interventions such as earthwork, tube wells, and latrines, and other WASH Facilities.
∎ Responsible for construction activities such as WaSH infrastructures (Semi-Deep Tube wells, Sanitary Latrines, Hygiene Promotion, etc.).
∎ Identify feasible site for WASH facilities
∎ Facilitate caretaker training
∎ Conduct water quality tests of selected parameters using field kits.
∎ Prepare bills & check the bills vouchers.
∎ Conduct Technical and environmental surveys (pre-survey, post-survey, etc) as per project requirement.
∎ Prepare different IEC materials related to construction work.
∎ Ensure timely and quality implementation of the project activities.
∎ Ensure the NOC after selection of scheme with relevant stakeholders.
∎ Effective and efficient use of project assets and resources-10%
