Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Ensuring the efficient implementation and management of nutrition programs within the critical responsibility. The Assistant Program Manager shall collaborate closely with the Program Manager and other relevant parties to create, oversee, and assess nutrition initiatives that target the unique requirements of the refugee community.
∎ Support the creation, execution, and oversight of nutrition programs following the aims and objectives of the organization.
∎ Guarantee efficient cooperation and resource mobilization, and coordinate with pertinent stakeholders, such as governmental organizations, non-governmental organizations, and local authorities.
∎ Assist the Program Manager in managing the daily operations of nutrition-related tasks, such as supply distribution, budget administration, and procurement.
∎ Offer field personnel engaged in nutrition programming technical direction and assistance, including supervision, capacity building, and training.
∎ Keep nutrition interventions' best practices, rules, and procedures, and make sure they're incorporated into program activities.
∎ Carry out evaluations and surveys to pinpoint deficiencies and requirements in nutrition services, and assist in the creation of initiatives backed by data.
∎ Create and maintain reliable systems for data collection and analysis to track program performance through monitoring and assessment.
∎ Help the program manager carry out routine reviews and assessments of nutrition programs, and utilize the results to guide choices and program modifications.
∎ Ensure that all internal and external reporting requirements, protocols, and quality standards are followed.
∎ Develop trusting connections with neighbors, government officials, and other relevant parties to encourage community ownership and involvement in nutrition-related projects.
∎ Arrange community sensitization events and awareness campaigns on important nutrition subjects, such as micronutrient supplementation, breastfeeding, and supplemental feeding.
∎ Encourage the creation of peer networks and community-based support systems to increase the consumption of nutrition services.
∎ A Bachelor’s or master’s degree in nutrition, public health, or a related discipline.
∎ At least 5 years of experience in nutrition programming,
∎ A thorough awareness of the nutritional difficulties and problems that refugee populations have, especially in emergencies.
∎ Proven project management expertise, including oversight, budgeting, and scheduling.
∎ Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities, as well as the capacity to function well in multicultural settings.
∎ Written and spoken English fluency. Proficiency in the Rohingya language would be advantageous.
∎ A dedication to humanitarian ideas and values, accompanied by a clear enthusiasm for enhancing the well-being of marginalized communities
