  • Education will be relaxed for the experienced candidate

  • Experienced in Seed processing or distribution will be given preference

  • Knowledge on cold storage management (including refrigeration and ventilation systems), post-harvest technology and physiology (specifically for potatoes), Principles of facility assessment, vendor evaluation, and basic negotiation, distribution plan, register maintains, report writing

  • Knowledge about distributor management, Inventory Management

  • Excellent in people management, work prioritization, time management as well as the ability to adapt to work under pressure and challenging environment



Responsibilities & Context:
  • Conduct technical evaluations of potential cold storage sites to ensure they meet BRAC's standards for cooling, insulation, and reliability.

  • Oversee seed potato receipt, including quality inspection, documentation, stacking, and storage to ensure airflow and prevent damage.

  • Serve as the first line of defense by regularly inspecting stored potatoes for disease, sprouting, rot, or damage, and quickly implementing corrective measures per SOPs.

  • Manage cold storage conditions by monitoring and maintaining specified temperature, humidity, and ventilation schedules to ensure proper airflow and CO2 removal.

  • Proactively manage seed potato pre-heating to meet demand, ensuring adequate space for proper acclimation before dispatch to maintain quality.

  • Coordinate and supervise seed potato dispatch, confirm order accuracy, oversee truck loading, and manage documentation for a smooth handover.

  • Assist the Quality Control team with monthly inspections by preparing the storage area, collecting samples, and applying feedback or corrective actions.

  • Maintain accurate logs of essential activities like temperature and RH readings, ventilation schedules, stock intake and dispatch, and quality observations.

  • Follow procedures and documentation guidelines in the company’s ISO quality management system (ISO 9001) to ensure consistency, traceability, and continuous improvement.

  • Act as the daily contact for truck drivers and third-party logistics providers to coordinate delivery schedules, deliver required documentation, and quickly address any transit issues

  • Direct the daily workforce for all operations—including hiring, supervision, and wage processing—to maximize efficiency and ensure all tasks are completed within budget.

  • Ensure the safety of team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation to achieve the programme’s goals on safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment

  • Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.

  • Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, encourage others to do so

  • Perform any other jobs as assigned by the management
