Experience:
Minimum bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or relevant field

Project Brief:
Biodiversity for Resilient Livelihoods (B4RL) in the Modified Ganges Delta of Bangladesh Project aims to promote improved management systems that are inclusive and adaptive which enhance social-ecological resilience, ensuring sustainable use and protection of natural resources in Bangladesh`s modified lower Ganges Delta covering Shyamnagar sub-district of Satkhira, Dacope and Koyra sub-districts of Khulna, Magura Sadar and Shalikha sub-districts of Magura district. The project will restore, enhance, and protect ecosystems-biodiversity towards building “resilient social-ecological production landscapes.” These interventions will address three areas of concern: climate change, disaster, and resilience by demonstrating ecosystem-based adaptation (EbA), ecosystem-based disaster risk reduction (Eco-DRR), and biodiversity-focused livelihoods as viable local adaptations to climate-induced threats in a gender, youth, and social-inclusive approach. The project envisages sensitizing and mobilizing 20,000 marginalized and vulnerable households from local communities in project sites.
Part I: Job Statement
The Assistant Officer, Accounts and Admin position is responsible for ensuring all accounts and administrative functions of the project at the field level. One of the main responsibilities is to provide assistance in the delivery of operational and logistic support to the field level in a timely manner. Supprting the team in preparing and execution in procurement plan is also an important role that needs to be played by this position. S/he will ensure alignment of the programme interventions with the budget, checking consistency of financial activities at field level and assisting the preparation of implementation plan and implementation modalities in line with the budget. He/she will be also responsible for maintaining close coordination with the Accounts Manager. He/she will be upholding the standard financial policy of both organisation and doner and face the financial audit.
Part II: Job Responsibilities and Tasks
A. Programme Activities
Maintain field level accounts and administrative tasks.
Prepare all sorts of Vouchers of all transactions with proper supporting documents.
Perform and maintain banking related issues including Bank Reconciliation Report.
Maintain Books of accounts specially Tally Software and Petty Cash.
Assist and facilitate day to day financial record keeping and monthly financial reporting.
Check and make payment Travel Expenses Reports, Conveyance bill etc.
Arrangement of different logistics support services such as stationery, photocopying, vehicle, refreshments, office cleaning, etc.
Affix Revenue Stamp; Deduct Income taxes at source as applicable, and deposit to Govt. the treasury
Prepare monthly financial report with necessary supporting and timely submission
Assist external audit, reviews as well as internal financial monitoring.
Maintain Fixed asset registers, stock register, ensure affix ID numbers, and keep track of items.
Filling and preservation of financial vouchers, HR related files in a confidential manner.
Sharing financial monitoring results regularly.
B. General
Assist project team implementing in regards financial, administrative and procurement issues.
Adhere to organizational policies and project standards.
Ensure safety and well-being of team members and participants.
Promote and endorse safeguarding policy among staff.
Follow reporting procedures for safeguarding related incidents and encourage others to do so
Perform any other task as and when assigned by the Management.
Salary: The monthly consolidated salary (all-inclusive) BDT 40,000/-
