A. VAT (Value Added Tax) :

• Ensure compliance with all VAT laws, rules, and regulations of NBR.
• Prepare and submit monthly VAT returns (Mushak-9.1, 9.2, 9.3, etc.).
• Supervising VAT registers and documents (Mushak-6.1, 6.2, 6.3, etc.).
• Ensure accurate deduction of VAT at source (VDS) and timely deposit to
• government treasury.
• Handle all VAT-related audits, queries, and correspondence with VAT
• authorities.
• Review suppliers’ VAT challans and ensure compliance before payments.
• Assist in VAT planning and optimization within the legal framework.

B. Customs :

• Verify HS codes, customs duty structure, and tariff classification for imported
• items.
• Liaise with customs officials for smooth clearance and dispute resolution.
• Prepare cost analysis related to import duties, VAT, and other taxes.

C. Coordination & Compliance :

• Assist in maintaining communication with VAT Commissionerate, Customs
• House, and NBR.
• Support internal and external auditors for VAT and customs matters.
• Update management on changes in VAT and customs laws affecting
• business operations.
• Train and guide junior staff on VAT and customs documentation and
• compliance.
