Educational Requirements:
∎ Master of Social Science (MSS) in Social Science, Sociology, Development Studies, Gender Studies
∎ Diploma/ Additional courses in social compliance or equivalent will be given preference
Experience Requirements:
∎ At least 5 year(s)
Job Context:
∎ Young Consultants (YC) is a private consulting house specialized in business, finance, marketing, entrepreneurship development and training established in 1998. YC is one of the pioneer consulting firms in Bangladesh in the field of business, finance and entrepreneurship development.
∎ YC helps clients in conducting feasibility studies, investment projects, grants projects, developing business plans, in donor funded projects.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Manage and assist Senior Consultants (Social Considerations) on projects related to social concerns
∎ Advise and manage prospective clients on social considerations at their company [following GOB, WB, JICA standards]. Mostly on industrial social compliance issues and maintaining donor standards.
∎ Develop policy papers, frameworks, guidelines for clients [[following GOB, WB, JICA standards on social issues]
∎ Design and conduct capacity building training for clients
∎ Visit to client's company and prepare relevant reports (e.g. site inspection report, social due diligence report)
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 28 to 35 years
∎ Both males and females are allowed to apply
∎ Knowledge on social science research, social impact assessment, social features of feasibility study, resettlement will be an added qualification
∎ Should have strong report writing skills
∎ Leadership, with the ability to motivate and direct a diverse group of people
∎ Proficient in MS Excel and PowerPoint
∎ Excellent verbal and written communication skills
∎ Females are encouraged to apply
