Experience:

• Bachelor of Science (BSc)

• The candidate should have BSc in Agriculture/ Master of Science in Genetics and Pant Breeding from any government approved institute with minimum CGPA 2.50 or 2nd division/ class or equivalent result in all academic examinations.

• At least 2 years
• The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s): Agro based firms (incl. Agro Processing/Seed/GM)

• Education and Experience will be relaxed for the potential Candidates

• Experience in relevant field will be given preference

• Have practical knowledge planning and execution of Breeding related research works, hybridization, production, managing product development, product evaluation activities, product advancement processes and people management

• Have adequate knowledge to maintain inbreeds lines

• Able to critical analysis of research findings

• Have proper knowledge on correct crossing method, reciprocal crosses, line x tester analysis, stability analysis, GCA and SCA variances

• Solution driven, smart, approachable and possesses ability to work with people from different backgrounds

• Able to work under stress situation

• Able to manage any unwanted situation

• Accomplish the breeding program which is planned by the Research authority

• Collect the rice genetic resources

• Develop CMS (Cytoplasmic Male Sterile), Maintainer Lines, Restorer Lines and experimental hybrid rice

• Maintain source Nursery, test cross Nursery, purification of Nursery

• Evaluate the Nursery and exotic materials

• Ensure the production of nuclear seeds of parents and maintain the nuclear parents

• Guide the team regarding experimental design, layout preparation, data collection, data analysis and scientific reports preparation

• Assist to prepare the budget

• Acquire the knowledge from government and non-government organization regarding the new production ideas

• Prepare the different scientific report and share with the management

• Ensure the safety of team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation to achieve the programme’s goals on safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment

• Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.

• Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, encourage others to do so

• Perform any other duties as and when assigned by the respective authority
