Responsibilities & Context: Job Context:
We are looking for an Assistant Manager who will manage and be responsible for the effective management of all engineering and maintenance operations within the hotel, also responsible for the development of the engineering team and staying abreast of compliance regulations and procedures in the field of engineering as required for hotel standards. If you are hardworking, have experience working at a hotel or a pre-opening hotel, then you are the person we are looking for.
Job Responsibilities:
- Prepare and implement an effective project plan and ensure adequate project progress.
- Review project updates to ensure deadlines are met.
- Review all of the system’s testing and commissioning work and advise the Operations Manager accordingly.
- Report work status, such as budget, resources, and technical issues.
- Oversee the work of subordinate staff or engineers.
- Prepare plans, cost estimation of project work.
- Provide technical advice to staff, designers, supervisors, inspectors, and contracting service providers regarding the installation and maintenance of the MEP System.
- Analyse mechanical, electrical and plumbing engineering problems and formulate solutions.
- Review and evaluate the work of consultants, contractors and others.
- Knowledge of MS Office, AutoCAD and Hotel management software.
- Prepare and present effective oral presentations whenever required.
- Advise the Operation Manager of any technical aspects of the MEP system that may affect construction progress.
- Manage the day-to-day work of the MEP team.
- Train the team on quality control, progress monitoring and operational discipline to create a satisfactory job environment.
- Evaluate maintenance staff work activities and report to the appropriate company authority about them.
- Arrange regular meetings with project personnel about project development.
- Keeping proper documentation and records of all work.
- Any other job that management assigns.
