Responsibilities & Context:

Job Context:

Meghna Group of Industries (MGI) is strengthening its Public Relations Department to enhance corporate reputation and ensure strategic, consistent communication aligned with business goals. The Assistant Manager/ Deputy Manager – Strategic Planner & Public Relations will support the Head of PR in planning and executing communication strategies, managing media relations, reputation risks, and crisis response. This role involves coordinating with internal teams and external agencies to deliver clear, impactful messaging that builds trust and supports MGI’s growth and brand credibility.

Job Description:

  • Collaborate closely with the Head of Public Relations to formulate, implement, and monitor integrated communication strategies in order to support organizational objectives and strengthen corporate reputation.

  • Design comprehensive and integrated public relations strategies by aligning corporate, brand, and business goals to ensure consistent and effective communication with media and key stakeholders.

  • Plan and execute strategic communication initiatives for product promotion, corporate campaigns, reputation management, sponsorships, and CSR programs to enhance brand visibility and public trust.

  • Develop strategic narratives, key messages, and spokesperson positioning frameworks to ensure clarity, consistency, and credibility in all external and internal communications.

  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams by providing strategic communication guidance to fulfil internal and external communication requirements effectively and in a timely manner.

  • Prepare and maintain a yearly activity calendar for the Public Relations Department to ensure systematic planning, efficient resource utilization, and timely execution of PR initiatives.

  • Monitor and analyse media coverage and public sentiment across traditional and digital platforms to evaluate communication effectiveness and identify emerging issues or opportunities.

  • Identify and assess potential reputational risks and develop crisis communication strategies to safeguard the organization’s image and ensure prompt, accurate, and aligned responses during critical situations.

  • Conduct research and analytical assessments on media quality, coverage trends, and communication impact to support data-driven decision-making and continuous improvement.

  • Facilitate communication and media guideline training for internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment with organizational messaging standards and communication protocols.

  • Manage and coordinate with appointed PR agencies by providing clear direction, monitoring performance, and ensuring optimal utilization of agency resources to achieve communication objectives.
