Experience:
Graduate in supply chain management, Business Administration, Textile Engineering, or related field from a well reputed institute.
Ideal candidate should have at least 10 - 12 years’ experience in Merchandising, accessories procurement, material management, or PPC in a reputed buying office or factory.
Strong knowledge of accessories materials and local supplier market.
Experience working with material ordering matrix and BOM control.
Good understanding of production planning and supply chain flow.
Strong analytical and reporting skills
Proficient in MS Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook

Job Context
The Assistant Manager / Deputy Manager – Material Planning & Sourcing will be responsible for the implementation of the company’s local sourcing optimization initiative by establishing structured material visibility, standardization, and supplier alignment across all styles and factories. The incumbent responsible for developing a centralized material intelligence system, identifying locally sourceable accessories, and driving compliance with the company’s approved supplier framework to ensure consistency, efficiency, and enhanced commercial value realization.
Job Responsibilities
Lead the development of a centralized, style-wise material database covering all accessories, specifications, consumption, and sourcing origin.
Establish standardized material classification and mapping across all product categories.
Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and usability for cross-functional teams.
Define and implement a structured framework for local vs. import sourcing decisions.
Analyze material consumption patterns to unlock volume leverage opportunities.
Partner with internal stakeholders to align sourcing strategies with overall business objectives.
Ensure strong adherence to the company’s nominated supplier framework across all applicable materials.
Drive supplier allocation strategies to maximize consistency, reliability, and value creation.
Collaborate with nominated suppliers to understand capabilities, capacity, and development opportunities.
Monitor sourcing behavior and proactively address deviations from approved strategies.
Lead coordination with factories’ merchandising and procurement teams to ensure execution of the defined sourcing strategy.
Resolve challenges related to material selection, sourcing feasibility, and supplier alignment.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance visibility, efficiency, and sourcing discipline.
Track key metrics related to material standardization, local sourcing adoption, and supplier compliance.
Provide regular insights and reports to management on sourcing trends, risks, and opportunities.
