Responsibilities & Context:

The Assistant Manager – Business Development is responsible for supporting the company’s business growth through proactive client engagement, opportunity development, and strategic sales execution. The role focuses on identifying new business prospects, managing key customer accounts, and coordinating with technical and marketing teams to promote IT infrastructure, cloud, cybersecurity, and managed service solutions.

This position bridges the gap between operational sales activities and strategic account management, contributing to both revenue generation and relationship excellence.

1. Business Development & Market Expansion

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities across enterprise, corporate, and public sectors.

  • Research industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitor activities to identify potential leads.

  • Develop and maintain a robust sales pipeline aligned with company revenue targets.

2. Client Relationship Management

  • Establish and maintain long-term relationships with key clients and partners.

  • Conduct client meetings, presentations, and solution demonstrations.

  • Ensure consistent client satisfaction through effective communication and problem resolution.

3. Solution Positioning & Proposal Development

  • Collaborate with technical and pre-sales teams to design tailored IT solutions.

  • Prepare business proposals, RFP responses, quotations, and tender documentation.

  • Present solutions covering:

    • Cloud Infrastructure (Azure, AWS, Google, Private & Hybrid Cloud)

    • Cybersecurity & Endpoint Protection

    • IT Infrastructure & Data Center Solutions

    • Managed Services & IT Support Solutions

    • Enterprise Collaboration Platforms (Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, etc.)

4. Sales Coordination & Process Management

  • Support the Manager in executing business strategies and achieving monthly and quarterly sales targets.

  • Coordinate with marketing for lead generation campaigns, webinars, and technology events.

  • Maintain accurate records in CRM tools (e.g., HubSpot, Zoho, Salesforce).

5. Reporting & Performance Monitoring

  • Prepare and submit regular sales reports, forecasts, and market insights.

  • Analyze pipeline progress and identify areas for improvement.

  • Track client engagement and conversion metrics for management review.
