Job Context:
We are looking for a competent and experienced Assistant Manager – Biomedical Engineering to oversee medical equipment maintenance, breakdown management, preventive maintenance, vendor coordination, and equipment performance to ensure safe, reliable, and uninterrupted healthcare operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan, coordinate, and monitor preventive maintenance (PM) of medical equipment.
Ensure timely response to equipment breakdowns and effective troubleshooting.
Diagnose faults and oversee necessary repairs, part replacements, and servicing.
Coordinate with clinical users and relevant departments to resolve equipment-related issues.
Liaise with vendors for technical support, servicing, warranty matters, and spare parts.
Monitor equipment performance and ensure maximum uptime and availability.
Supervise and guide Biomedical Engineering technicians in daily maintenance activities.
Train technicians and users on proper equipment operation and handling.
Arrange standby equipment during major breakdowns, where required.
Ensure compliance with quality assurance and safety procedures for Radiology and Laboratory equipment.
Maintain preventive maintenance, breakdown, service, and equipment-related records.
Monitor service contracts and vendor performance, where applicable.
Prepare regular maintenance and equipment performance reports for management.
Perform any other responsibilities assigned by the HOD/In-Charge.
