  • Total 10 years of working experience with at least 5 years of working in Assistant General Manager (Audit)/Assistant Director (Audit)/Coordinator (Audit)/Audit Manager Position in internal auditing or similar position at Microfinance sector.

  • Proven track record of leading and managing an internal audit function.
  • Strong understanding of auditing standards and practices.

Responsibilities & Context:

Job Context:

DAM Foundation for Economic Development (DFED) (an institution of Dhaka Ahsania Mission, MRA license-00109-02243-00747) is working to enhance the socio-economic condition of poor people for creating their employment opportunities, raising income and increasing their asset and financial resources. DFED is currently looking for competent and experienced Assistant General Manager for Internal Audit Department. The purpose of the job is to ensure mitigating the risk of the organization at minimum level and ensuring the internal control of the organization, work activities effectively and efficiently. The personnel are required to successfully carry out the Audit related functions. This position requires knowledge of internal auditing; audit tools techniques, checklist, methodologies, monitoring skills and serving attitudes to work under Audit Department.

Job Location:

Head Office, DAM Foundation for Economic Development (DFED), Adabar, Dhaka with frequent travel to outside Dhaka as per organization requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and supervise audit teams during audit engagements.

  • Develop and implement an effective internal audit program.

  • Plan and execute audit engagements in accordance with auditing standards.

  • Identify areas of risk and provide recommendations for improving internal controls.

  • Communicate audit results and recommendations to the Treasurer of DFED.

  • Report audit findings to senior management and the Audit Committee.

  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.

  • Prepare and present audit reports to management, highlighting key findings and recommendations.

  • Collaborate with other departments to address audit findings and implement corrective actions.

  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls.

  • Conduct special investigations as needed.

  • Stay connects with donor funded projects trends and best practices in internal auditing.

  • Develop and maintain audit documentation and work papers.

  • Coordinate with external auditors and regulatory agencies.

  • Provide training and development opportunities for audit staff.

  • Prepare and present audit reports to audit.

  • Assist in the development of the annual audit plan.

  • Assist in developing the annual audit plan based on risk assessments and organizational priorities.

  • Plan and execute audit engagements, including defining audit scope, objectives, and procedures.

  • Conduct risk assessments and identify areas of potential risk and control weaknesses.

  • Evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of the organization`s risk management processes.

  • Perform follow-up audits to ensure corrective actions have been implemented.

  • Maintain a high level of professional ethics and integrity.

  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Support the organization`s strategic objectives through effective audit practices.



Job Other Benifits:
    • Salary Grade-11, (Gross Salary-88,230/-) per month.
