Additional Requirements:
  • Age At least 25 years

Candidate must have work experience in any senior administrative position at any reputed organization (preferably in private university). At least 12 (twelve) to 10 (Ten) years working experience in any senior administrative position in the relevant field out of which 5 years in relevant position. Candidate must have a good rapport with print and electronic media, professionalism with initiative and marketing orientation, and also result-driven. Candidate must have excellent communication skill in writing reports in English with oratorical skills for making professional presentation frequently. Fluency in both written English and Bengali is most essential and the candidates should have well conversant in public relations, journalism, branding, and promotional activities. Computer proficiency in MS-Office Applications is essential and skills in graphic design and multimedia content development using modern tools will be considered as an added advantage.

  • Solid experience in PR for large organizations or educational institutions, with a strong track record of successful campaigns.

  • Excellent people skills to build and maintain relationships with both internal teams and external stakeholders.

  • Skilled in handling crises and communicating clearly under pressure.

  • Strong media network, especially in print and electronic outlets.

  • Fluent in English and Bengali, with confident presentation abilities.

  • Able to work both independently and as part of a team, showing flexibility and adaptability.

  • Familiar with digital media, social media analytics, and PR software.

  • Results-driven with a strong understanding of branding and promotional strategies.

  • Willing to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, for events and media needs.

  • Able to guide and supervise the Photographer/Videographer and other digital marketing associates, support staff to ensure quality visual content.



Responsibilities & Context:

The Assistant Director of Public Relations is a key person in shaping the narrative of the university and maintaining a positive relationship with the public, media, and various stakeholders. This role requires a combination of strategic thinking, excellent communication skills, and the ability to navigate complex and sensitive issues. The Assistant Director - PRO is willing to work under the supervision of the Director – Admission Office and other senior authorities of the university. 

  • Develop and implement a strategic public relations plan aligned with the university`s overall goals and objectives.

  • Collaborate with senior leadership to ensure PR initiatives support the institution`s mission and vision.

  • Maintain relationships with journalists, editors, and other media professionals.

  • Prepare and distribute press releases, media kits, and other materials to promote university events, achievements, and news.

  • Ensure consistency in messaging across all communication channels.

  • Develop crisis communication plans and protocols to address potential issues promptly and effectively.

  • Serve as the university spokesperson during crises, working closely with senior leadership to manage communication.

  • Implement strategies to strengthen the university`s position in the market.

  • Foster positive relationships with the local community, alumni, and other stakeholders.

  • Monitor social media channels and respond to inquiries and comments in a timely and professional manner.

  • Work collaboratively with other departments, including marketing, admissions, and academic units, to ensure a cohesive communication approach.

  • Supervise various tasks of Photographer/Videographer.
