Job Responsibilities:
∎ Directs and coordinates worker activities, such as Planting, Irrigation, Fertilizer/Pesticide Application, Harvesting, Grading, Payroll, and Record Keeping.
∎ Should have knowledge of right fertilizers and pesticides for the crops.
∎ Contracts with Farmers for Management of Crop Production.
∎ Overseeing the plantation of the Crops during plantation season.
∎ Plan with Technicians for the irrigation required for Agriculture.
∎ Plans and directs development and production of hybrid plant varieties with high yield or disease and insect resistant characteristics.
∎ Hiring the right farm hands.
∎ Overseeing the harvesting of the crops during harvesting season.
∎ Packaging the crops for sale.
∎ Making an inventory of the crops and accounting for their sales.
∎ Helping the owner with sales of the crop.
∎ Overseeing the daily harvesting and farming activities.
∎ Manage all Buying activities (i.e. Seeds, Fertilizers & Utilities for Plantation).
∎ Knowing the soil conditions and planning accordingly.
∎ Knowing the market conditions and staying up to date on it.
∎ Innovating new products and manufacturing methods.
∎ Promote the business and increase the sales of the crop or any other agricultural product made by the farm.
∎ Monitoring crop conditions, weather patterns, and other factors that could impact crop yields performance.
∎ Finding out the ways to reduce the production cost.
∎ Working with different Governmental organizations like BRRI, BARI, BADC, BINA etc.
∎ Ensuring the government and environmental regulations.
∎ Regularly coordinate with higher management.
∎ Maintaining all documents and updating all the records in the farming database.
∎ Regulate research on climate-smart agriculture and ensure waste management as well as environment & pollution control.
∎ Prepare plan for all processes of loading, unloading, storing, internal working and proper delivery of potatoes.
∎ Organize & arrange receiving, storing, testing, and shipping of Potatoes kept in cold storage.
∎ Develop and review Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)
∎ Monitoring and checking stock dispatch as per SOP and Tracking transit damage and report.
∎ Develop operation & maintenance situations to optimize all processes at the Cold storage facility.
∎ Monitor and ensure operation and maintenance activities taken place smoothly and safely for keeping quality assurance parameters at right setting.
∎ Coordinating with labor contractor / logistic provider for hiring/replacement of resources.
∎ Supervising subordinates/staff and provide them with relevant training on all aspects of the operation.
∎ Monitor main equipment’s and processes of vaporizing and storage-stabilizing regarding potato alteration, inspection, de-frosting and other essential quality control factors periodically and make correct the abnormalities where necessary.
∎ Analysis of monthly accounts variance and overall activities and report to the Management.
∎ Implementing warehouse safety programs that specifically apply to cold storage.
∎ Co-ordinate with internal and external stakeholders and engage in development activities through the program.
∎ Perform any other duties assigned by the Management.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 35 to 45 years
∎ Only males are allowed to apply

∎ Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills
