Experience:
Master’s degree in Accounting or an MBA with an accounting emphasis, or equivalent degree in accounting and finance or a related field preferred.
Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) or other similar certification in field auditing or accounting is an added advantage·
The Head of Audit is responsible for leading the organization’s internal audit function, ensuring effective risk management, internal controls, governance, regulatory compliance and operational efficiency.
He/She also test the adequacy and effectiveness of internal control systems to test for compliance with systems, internal policies and procedures, in particular in operational and financial areas to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
The role involves developing audit strategies, conducting independent assessments, identifying risks, and recommending improvements to protect organizational assets and support business objectives.

To be successful as an audit manager, you should demonstrate excellent communication skills, solid knowledge of auditing disciplines, and strong analytical skills. Ultimately, a high-quality audit manager should have experience in auditing and strong leadership and organizational skills.
Major Responsibility
Develop and implement the annual internal audit plan based on risk assessment.
Establish audit policies, procedures and methodologies.
Ensure independence and objectivity of the audit function
Lead, Manage, supervise and review the work of Internal Audit team member(s).
Provide orientation and annual trainings to ensure the development of professional skills of the Internal Audit team.
Conduct performance appraisal evaluation(s) for internal audit staff member(s), including setting performance objectives and regular monitoring.
Identify operational, financial, compliance and strategic risks
Coordinate with external auditors and regulatory authorities.
Evaluate and conduct risk assessments of the internal control environment and identify areas for audit focus.
Recommend corrective actions and process improvements.
Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations and industry standards.
Review adherence to company policies and procedures.
Support regulatory audits and inspections.
Conduct financial, operational and compliance audits.
Review accounting practices and financial reporting accuracy.
Analyze data and prepare audit findings and reports.
Provide periodic updates on audit progress and unresolved issues.
Present audit findings to senior management and the Audit Committee.
Monitor implementation of audit recommendations.
