Key Responsibilities

• Direct all bookkeeping, general ledger maintenance, and rigorous financial data organisation.

• Supervise and mentor two direct reports, providing technical guidance and performance management to ensure departmental goals are met.

• Provide financial modelling and ROI analysis to drive brand growth and marketing strategy.

• Engineer and automate workflows to maximise departmental efficiency and office operations.

• Oversee payroll, personnel documentation, and financial compliance for all internal HR processes.

• Design structured systems and KPI tracking to deliver data-driven growth insights to the Owner.

• Lead all tax filings (local/state/federal) and serve as the primary liaison for external audits.

• Design and enforce "checks and balances" to mitigate fraud and ensure GAAP/IFRS compliance.

• Monitor daily liquidity and optimize payment timing to maintain healthy cash balances.

• Monitor evolving accounting laws and industry-specific regulations to assess and implement impact.

• Manage high-priority schedules, critical deadlines, and overarching business planning.

Job Requirements

• Hold a BBA/MBA in Accounting or Finance from a top-tier university.

• Demonstrate expert-level knowledge of the Income Tax Act 2023 and VAT & Supplementary Duty Act 2012.

• Possess mastery of  Google Workspace or MS Office Softwares and hands-on experience with TallyPrime, QuickBooks, or industry-standard ERPs.

• Apply a deep understanding of BAS (Bangladesh Accounting Standards) and BFRS for accurate financial reporting.

• Show a proven track record of coordinating with the NBR, commercial banks for LC management, and external auditors.

• Exhibit strong team management skills and the ability to lead an accounts department effectively.

• Communicate fluently in both English and Bangla for professional reporting and local government correspondence.
