Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, Marketing, Retail Management, or a related discipline.
MBA/PGDM or relevant professional qualification will be an advantage.
7–10 years of relevant experience, preferably in supermarket, retail, FMCG, or large-format store operations.
At least 3–5 years in a managerial/leadership role with responsibility for sales and store operations.
Experience managing teams, inventory, customer service, and commercial performance is preferred.
To lead and manage the sales and administrative operations of the super shop, ensuring achievement of sales targets, excellent customer service, efficient store operations, inventory control, staff productivity, cost management, and compliance with company policies.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual targets.
Monitor daily sales, customer traffic, average basket size, conversion, and other key KPIs.
Identify opportunities to increase sales, customer retention, and profitability.
Plan and implement promotional campaigns, seasonal offers, and merchandising activities.
Monitor competitors, market trends, pricing, and customer preferences.
Ensure effective product display, pricing, availability, and category management.
Oversee day-to-day operations of the super shop and ensure smooth business continuity.
Ensure proper opening/closing procedures and adherence to operational SOPs.
Maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, safety, and store presentation.
Coordinate with procurement, warehouse, finance, HR, and other departments.
Ensure proper stock receiving, storage, replenishment, and product rotation.
Minimize stock-outs, overstock, wastage, expiry, damage, and shrinkage.
Ensure excellent customer experience and service standards.
Ensure staff demonstrate professional and courteous behavior.
Supervise and motivate store sales and administrative teams.
Prepare duty rosters and ensure adequate manpower coverage.
Maintain attendance, punctuality, leave, and staff discipline.
Ensure accurate inventory records and regular stock counts.
Ensure FIFO/FEFO practices where applicable.
Monitor sales, expenses, gross margin, discounts, and operational costs.
Support budgeting, forecasting, and business planning.
Ensure compliance with finance and audit requirements.
Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly operational reports.
Coordinate internal and external audits and ensure timely resolution of audit findings.
