Additional Requirements:
- Age 32 to 55 years
Master’s / Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, International Trade, Finance, or related discipline. However, candidates with other academic backgrounds will also be considered if they have extensive relevant experience.
Minimum 10 years of experience in commercial operations, with at least 3 years in a senior managerial role (preferably in a manufacturing industry).
Retired Bankers with strong expertise in commercial operations will be given preference.
Strong knowledge of import-export policies, customs act, bond rules, VAT, and banking procedures.
Proven experience in dealing with government offices, banks, and international suppliers/customers.
Excellent leadership, negotiation, and communication skills.
High level of integrity, analytical ability, and decision-making skills.
Responsibilities & Context:
Lead and oversee all commercial operations including import, export, banking, LC, and other job related to bond, VAT, customs, and regulatory compliance.
Manage end-to-end processes of opening, negotiating, and settling Letters of Credit (LC) and TT transactions.
Maintain liaison with banks, customs, EPB, and other relevant authorities.
Ensure proper documentation, compliance, and timely submission of reports related to commercial activities.
Oversee raw material procurement, HS code classification, and related commercial formalities.
Monitor shipment schedules, clearing & forwarding (C&F) activities, and logistics arrangements.
Optimize cost and ensure smooth commercial operations while adhering to company policies and government regulations.
Lead and mentor the commercial team to achieve departmental goals.
Collaborate with supply chain, accounts, and production teams for efficient business operations.
Prepare and present reports to senior management on commercial performance, compliance, and risks.
Any other task as assigned by the management.
