  • Age At least 28 years
  • 2–4+ years of relevant experience in project logistics, project cargo, freight forwarding, shipping, EPC logistics, industrial logistics, or related business development.

  • Strong understanding of OOG/ODC, heavy-lift, breakbulk and project cargo operations.

  • Proven experience dealing with project owners, EPC contractors or industrial customers.

  • Existing industry contacts will be considered a significant advantage.

  • Experience working with international EPC contractors—particularly Chinese, Japanese, Korean or European companies—will be an advantage.

  • Good knowledge of Bangladesh ports, inland transportation, heavy-haul routes and project logistics requirements.

  • Strong commercial, negotiation and communication skills.

  • Ability to independently develop business and generate new project-cargo opportunities.

  • We are not simply looking for a conventional freight-forwarding salesperson.

  • We are looking for someone who can answer:

  • “Which major projects are coming in Bangladesh, who is executing them, what equipment will they import, when will the cargo move, and how can our company secure the logistics business?”

  • The successful candidate should be able to build relationships at the project-owner, EPC, procurement, logistics and contractor level and turn those relationships into actual project-cargo business.

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Project Cargo / Industrial Logistics professional to join our team and develop our project logistics business in Bangladesh.

The ideal candidate should have strong industry connections and practical experience in handling logistics requirements related to Power & Energy, Oil & Gas, EPC projects, WASA/Water & Infrastructure, Construction, Industrial Plants, Manufacturing and other large-scale development projects.

This is a business-development and project-execution-oriented position. The successful candidate will be expected to identify upcoming projects, develop relationships with project owners and EPC contractors, understand their logistics requirements and coordinate suitable transportation and heavy-lift solutions.

• Identify and develop project-cargo opportunities from:

o Power plants and power-generation projects

o Oil & Gas and energy projects

o EPC and infrastructure projects

o WASA and water-treatment projects

o Industrial plants and factories

o Roads, bridges and other major infrastructure projects

o Renewable energy and other large-scale projects

• Develop and maintain relationships with:

o Project owners

o EPC contractors

o Chinese, Japanese, Korean and European contractors

o Government and semi-government project entities

o Consultants and project management companies

o Equipment suppliers and manufacturers

o Freight forwarders and shipping lines

o Heavy-lift, breakbulk and MPP vessel operators

• Monitor upcoming projects and identify cargo movements at an early stage.

• Develop logistics solutions for:

o Heavy-lift cargo

o Over-dimensional cargo (ODC/OOG)

o Breakbulk cargo

o Project equipment

o Transformers

o Generators and turbines

o Boilers and pressure vessels

o Construction machinery

o Industrial machinery

o Complete plant/project movements

• Prepare and develop project-cargo quotations, tenders and commercial proposals.

• Coordinate with shipping lines, MPP/heavy-lift vessel owners, NVOCCs, transporters, crane companies, C&F agents, ports and other service providers.

• Conduct cargo surveys and understand lifting, transportation, route and port requirements.

• Follow projects from the initial enquiry stage through quotation, negotiation, award and final execution.

• Maintain a strong database of upcoming projects, EPC contractors, project owners, cargo requirements and decision-makers.
