Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Financial Documentation and Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and current accounting records by documenting daily financial transactions.
∎ Reporting: Prepare financial reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual accounts, and present them to senior management.
∎ Compliance and Control: Ensure adherence to statutory laws and financial regulations. Develop and maintain internal control systems to support the financial framework.
∎ Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in preparing budgets and forecasts, monitor financial status, and report any variances.
∎ Taxation: Prepare tax returns and ensure the accurate calculation and timely payment of taxes.
∎ Payroll Administration: Oversee payroll activities, ensuring accurate and timely processing of payroll transactions, including salaries, benefits, taxes, and other deductions.
∎ Accounts Payable and Receivable: Manage invoices and bills, ensuring prompt settlement of accounts payable and receivable.
∎ Audit: Support internal and external audit activities by providing necessary information and preparing requested documentation.
∎ Financial Analysis and Advice: Analyze financial data and create financial models to aid decision-making. Provide guidance on financial issues and strategic planning.
∎ Office Administration: Play administrative role.
∎ The Accounts Officer will be responsible for recording, analyzing, and reporting the organization’s financial transactions, including income, expenses, assets, and liabilities, to provide essential financial information for decision-making. Her/his duties will include maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial statements, managing budgets, calculating taxes, and ensuring compliance with accounting regulations. Additionally S/he will play administrative role of the organization.
