Job Summary:
The Account Officer ensures that our finances remain healthy so we can focus on healing others. From budgeting to billing, auditing to reporting—you will play a critical behind-the-scenes role in maintaining trust and transparency across all financial dealings. Your accuracy, integrity, and dedication will keep the hospital running smoothly and ethically.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Financial Record Management
Maintain accurate records of all financial transactions using accounting software.
Ensure timely and proper documentation of all payments, receipts, and journal entries.
2. Accounts Payable & Receivable
Process vendor invoices and ensure timely payments.
Monitor incoming payments from clients or customers and follow up on overdue accounts.
Reconcile accounts receivable and payable ledgers.
3. Bank Reconciliation
Perform monthly bank reconciliations to ensure financial accuracy.
Monitor bank transactions and resolve discrepancies promptly.
4. Budgeting & Reporting
Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts.
Prepare periodic financial reports such as balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and cash flow statements.
5. Compliance and Audits
Ensure all accounting practices comply with relevant laws, standards, and internal policies.
Support internal and external audits by preparing necessary documentation and responding to auditor inquiries.
6. Tax and Regulatory Filings
Assist in the preparation and submission of tax returns and statutory filings (e.g., VAT, GST, income tax).
Keep up to date with financial regulations and changes in tax laws.
7. Payroll Support
Support payroll processing by maintaining employee financial records and coordinating with HR or payroll service providers.
8. General Administrative Duties
Collaborate with other departments for financial clarifications and approvals.
Maintain organized financial files and systems for easy access and reference.
