Job Context:
∎ About HEED Handicrafts: HEED Handicrafts is a self-depended project of HEED Bangladesh (a national NGO), working since 1978. The project was formed to support rural artisan and producers around in Bangladesh with Handicrafts production and marketing in home and abroad. The impact of that view, artisans are getting direct benefit as well as improving their life style with the activities.
∎ Beneficiaries: More than 10,000 artisans of 300 groups from all over the country are the target beneficiary of HEED Handicrafts. About 60% female in the gender ratio.
∎ -One Year Contractual Appointment (With Possibility of Extension)
∎ -Start Date- as soon as possible
Job Responsibilities:
∎ • Maintaining financial records and prepare monthly financial report.
∎ • Handling accounts payable and receivable.
∎ • Checking invoices.
∎ • Resolving accounts to the general ledger.
∎ • Contacting clients about transactions and invoices.
∎ • Handling queries related to accounts.
∎ • Prepare asset, liability and capital account entries by compiling and analyzing account information.
∎ • Document financial transactions by entering account information.
∎ • Maintain accounting controls by preparing the necessary background papers.
∎ • Maintain financial security by following internal controls.
∎ • Prepare payments by verifying documentation, and requesting disbursements.
∎ • Prepare financial reports by collecting, analyzing and summarizing account information.
∎ • Prepare the necessary documents for procuring goods and services.
∎ • Prepare the supporting documents for the procurement committee.
∎ • Perform day to day administrative work for the HEED and Handicraft Project.
∎ • Be responsible for all files, Vehicle and records of Handicraft Project.
∎ • Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed with Manager-Finance and Director-Operations.
∎ • Prepare all the project BANK related work timely and properly.
∎ • Ensure all the payment, bill vouchers and advance of producers, daily basis workers payment
∎ • Other duties as assigned by supervisor and HEED Finance Team.
∎ • To prepare/supervise the monthly and quarterly reports and online documentation of all activities with consultation of HEED Manager-Finance.
∎ • To ensure all kinds of reports, minutes are timely sent to the Head Office, Dhaka in regular basis
∎ • Maintain and record keeping in all the financial register as per policy and compliance.
∎ • To ensure that all kinds Accounts and Finance related documents and information are timely sent to the Head Office Finance Team.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at most 40 years
∎ Both males and females are allowed to apply
∎ • Strong knowledge in Financial Software ERP, Accpac, SunPlus or Related
∎ • Strong knowledge and skills in Accounting and Record keeping.
∎ • Good computer skills on MS Word, Excel, Power Point etc.
∎ • Professional fluency in English - both written and verbal.
∎ • Able to undertake travel if required.
