Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
Professional certifications such as CA CC or partly qualified are a plus
Experience:
3–5 years of practical experience in accounts, finance, and administrative functions, preferably in NGOs, development organizations, or donor-funded projects.
Hands-on experience in maintaining financial records, preparing budgets, handling payroll, and managing office administration.
Experience with donor reporting, compliance, and internal control procedures is highly desirable.
Skills & Competencies:
Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial management, and bookkeeping practices.
Proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel) and accounting software (e.g., Tally, QuickBooks, or similar).
Good knowledge of administrative procedures, office management, and logistics coordination.
Excellent organizational, planning, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with program, finance, and administrative teams.
Good communication skills in both Bengali and English.
High integrity, professionalism, and attention to detail.

Job context:
LEDARS (Local Environment Development and Agricultural Research Society), an NGO registered with the NGO Affairs Bureau, has been working in the climate-vulnerable southwest coastal region of Bangladesh since 1996. The region faces significant challenges due to the adverse impacts of climate change, affecting the lives and livelihoods of local communities. LEDARS has been implementing a range of programs to address these challenges. To support effective project implementation, LEDARS is seeking an Accounts and Admin Officer responsible for ensuring accurate financial management, administrative efficiency, and compliance with organizational and donor requirements. The role supports program operations by managing financial transactions, budgeting, reporting, and administrative functions, while maintaining strong coordination with program, human resources, and procurement teams to ensure smooth and accountable project implementation.
Major Responsibility:
Daily recording and posting of all transactions in the financial books/ accounting software package
Day-to-day operation of accounting operations with minimum supervision
Maintain the record-keeping with the accounting standard
Manage all VAT and tax-related matters, including planning, compliance, and reporting.
Prepare fund position and yearly financial statement
Ensure NGOAB compliance and maintain BAS
Ensure accurate and timely filing of VAT returns, income tax returns, and other statutory filings.
Monitor and manage the company’s cash flow, ensuring sufficient liquidity for operational needs.
Ensure all staff accounts for advances in line with established policy and procedures, and that all accounts are settled at the time of termination of service.
Prepare monthly/quarterly project Budget vs Actuals (BvA) report and analysis; ensure respective budget holders understand the variance implications and how to respond to and manage them effectively.
Ensure compliance with policies, procedures, contracts, and ethical standards.
Manage fixed assets with depreciation schedules, maintain asset registers, and oversee inventory management
Ensure compliance with all donors, establishing grant management systems regarding reporting timelines and data. Also undertaking any donor due diligence and ongoing compliance issues
Assisting with recruitment, onboarding, and training of staff and volunteers.
Proficiency in Office Management tools (MS Word, Advance MS Excel, MS PowerPoint) and Tally Accounting software
Generate and submit daily, monthly, quarterly, and annual reports for all entities to management.
Prepare monthly bank reconciliation statements and ensure strong knowledge of banking, tax, VAT, and regulatory compliance.
Oversee the preparation of accurate and timely financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements
Cheek, verification of all purchase requests and approves on his/her side.
Assist to procurement steps to procurement department
Keep and preserve all necessary documents related to finance.
Prepare financial report, fund request or call forward in donor prescribed format
Experience in donor and proposal budget prepare
Experience to face the internal & external audit and due diligence.
Ensure appropriate maintenance of all equipment, computer, printer, camera and other fixed assets, bicycle, water and soil test equipment’s, etc.
Administrative support to field office such as any kind of logistics support as required
Perform any other duties assigned by supervisor and Executive Director
Salary: Provisionary period 35,556 taka, after confirmation 40,000 taka (Including contributory provident fund)
