- Familiarity with VAT, tax, and government regulations in Bangladesh.

Uttaran invites applications for the vacant position titled- Accounts & Admin Officer for the Building Resilient Futures: Comprehensive Climate Adaptation for Climate Migrants and Vulnerable Populations
Reports To: Finance Manager, and Head of Administration.
Duration: Up to November 2026
Job Responsibilities:
The Accounts & Admin Officer will manage financial operations to ensure smooth and compliant implementation of the Project. Key responsibilities include:
Financial Planning and Reporting
- Financial Planning and Reporting
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial plans following the approved budget.
- Develop financial projections for the Project and submit cash requisitions to donors.
- Analyze profitability by comparing actuals with forecasts.
Compliance and Risk Management
- Ensure compliance with IAS and BAS accounting systems in project operations.
- Follow updated VAT, tax, and revenue compliance as per Bangladesh government regulations.
- Deposit VAT and tax to the government treasury within deadlines.
- Monitor procurement processes to ensure policy and compliance adherence before payment.
- Conduct internal audits and respond to audit observations by preparing management responses.
Financial Operations and Record Maintenance
- Manage daily financial transactions and maintain books of accounts.
- Preserve and organize all financial documents, including vouchers, ledgers, bills, and reports.
- Maintain and update inventory and asset registers in line with organizational policies.
- Safeguard cash, bank cheques, audit reports, agreements, and other sensitive documents.
Team Collaboration and Capacity Building
- Orient project team members on financial policies, norms, and compliance requirements.
- Participate in staff coordination meetings, share financial updates, and plan accordingly.
- Collaborate with programmatic teams to verify expenditures and monitor project activities.
Administrative Roles and Responsibilities:
- Abide by the staff’s personnel policy of the organization.
- Maintain and fulfill movement registers for field visits properly.
- Fulfill and maintain leave forms properly.
- Preserve organizational files and resources.
- Prepare for conducting additional responsibilities as required by the organization.
- Avoid conspiracy, indecent words, and negative views towards higher authority and show faith in the organization.
Job Other Benifits: Salary: 35,000/- BDT (Including all)
