Job Responsibilities:
∎ As an Accounting Administrator for a UK property business, your responsibilities may include:
∎ Bookkeeping: You will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records for the property business, including recording transactions, reconciling bank statements, and managing accounts payable and receivable.
∎ Budgeting and forecasting: You will be responsible for preparing budgets, cash flow forecasts, and financial reports to help the property business make informed financial decisions.
∎ Taxation: You will be responsible for ensuring compliance with taxation laws, including preparing and submitting VAT returns, tax computations, and self-assessment returns.
∎ Financial analysis: You will be responsible for analyzing financial data to provide insights into the financial performance of the property business and identifying areas for improvement.
∎ Payroll: You will be responsible for managing payroll for employees and contractors, including calculating wages, processing payments, and ensuring compliance with tax and employment laws.
∎ Invoicing: You will be responsible for preparing and issuing invoices to tenants, clients, and contractors.
∎ Financial reporting: You will be responsible for preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for the property business and presenting them to management and stakeholders.
∎ Liaison: You will need to liaise with external parties such as auditors, tax advisors, and financial institutions to ensure compliance with regulations and to obtain financial advice.
∎ Accounting software: You will be responsible for managing accounting software and ensuring that it is up-to-date and functioning correctly.
∎ Administration: You will be responsible for managing administrative tasks such as answering phone calls, responding to emails, and filing paperwork.
∎ Attention to detail: You will need to be detail-oriented and meticulous in your work to ensure that financial records are accurate and compliant with regulations.
∎ Analytical skills: You will need to analyze financial data and trends to identify opportunities for cost-saving or revenue growth.
∎ Time management: You will need to manage your time effectively to ensure that all tasks are completed in a timely manner and deadlines are met.
∎ Overall, an Accounting Administrator for a UK property business will be responsible for ensuring the financial health of the property business, maintaining accurate financial records, and complying with taxation and employment laws.
