🧾 Job Overview

Merit Tutors is seeking an ACCA-qualified Accountant Manager (Part-Time) to remotely manage our accounting and financial operations. This role requires approximately 10 hours per week and is ideal for a qualified professional based in Bangladesh supporting a UK-based education organisation.

✅ Key Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate accounting and financial records

• Track income, expenses, and student fee payments

• Prepare monthly and quarterly financial reports

• Handle invoicing, payment tracking, and reconciliations

• Monitor cash flow and perform bank reconciliations

• Support payroll processing and staff payments

• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning

• Ensure financial compliance and data confidentiality

• Coordinate with UK-based management and external accountants

🎓 Requirements & Qualifications

• ACCA Qualified (Mandatory)

• Proven experience in accounting or financial management

• Strong knowledge of bookkeeping and financial reporting

• Experience with accounting software (Xero, QuickBooks, Sage, or similar)

• Ability to work independently in a remote environment

• Good written and verbal communication skills in English

• Experience handling UK-based accounts

• Knowledge of VAT and HMRC requirements

• Experience in education or tuition sector
