Experience:

  • Minimum of 1–2 years of progressively responsible experience in a similar role, preferably within an NGO or INGO context.

  • Prior exposure to donor-funded project financial processes will be considered an advantage.

  • Proficiency in MS Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); familiarity with accounting software will be an added asset.

Young Professional - Finance and Admin (Maternity Coverage)

The Young Professional will provide temporary support to the Finance and Administration Officer during her maternity leave to ensure the smooth functioning of the ACCESS and NBSiCHT projects. Key responsibilities include assisting with financial management, handling administrative tasks, and coordinating project teams while ensuring full compliance with organizational policies and donor requirements. The position will report directly to the Project Finance Manager, with a matrix reporting line to the Head of Finance and the Head of Administration & HR.

The key responsibilities for this role may include the following but are not limited to:

Key Responsibilities:

A. Financial Management (Core Responsibilities)

  • Carry out daily financial transactions and record them in BANANA Accounting software.

  • Arrange monthly salary payments and post them in the system.

  • Monitor project budgets, ensuring proper allocation of costs and compliance with budget codes.

  • Implement financial controls to prevent unauthorized and unallowable expenses.

  • Process vendor payments and maintain regular bank reconciliations.

  • Prepare timely and accurate financial reports, including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.

  • Support audit preparation and ensure timely finalization.

  • Ensure compliance with tax, VAT, NGOAB, donor, and audit requirements.

  • Prepare and revise FD-6, FD-3, FD-2, etc., as per NGOAB requirements.

  • Prepare monthly VAT and TAX statements; deposit withholding amounts to the government exchequer.

  • Support the Country Office in timely submission of tax and VAT returns.

  • Contribute to financial risk management, knowledge sharing, and experience capitalization.

B. Administration, Procurement & Logistics

  • Review procurement requests, collect quotations, organize tenders, prepare bid summaries, and issue purchase orders in line with HELVETAS procurement policies.

  • Provide logistics support for training, workshops, travel arrangements, and accommodation.

  • Arrange vehicle hire for staff field visits and review vehicle logbooks/monthly summaries.

  • Assist in preparing agreements with vendors/suppliers.

  • Maintain stock registers for office supplies and update project asset registers with ID numbers.

  • Prepare and monitor asset inventory reports (including partners) on a regular basis.

  • Ensure documentation and compliance with procurement guidelines.

  • Liaise with local authorities for administrative needs.

C. Project Coordination, Reporting & Capacity Development

  • Assist the Project Finance Manager and Project Lead in financial and administrative matters.

  • Support preparation of monthly, quarterly, and donor-specific reports.

  • Participate in project meetings, document decisions, and follow up on action points.

  • Coordinate with vendors, partners, and internal teams to ensure smooth operations.

  • Learn and apply organizational systems, including BANANA Accounting software and reporting templates.

  • Contribute to process improvements in financial and administrative workflows.

  • Participate in knowledge-sharing initiatives and capacity-building activities.



Job Other Benifits:

    We offer you: An internship contract up to 30 April 2026 with a monthly consolidated salary in the range of BDT 30,000 - BDT 50,000 CTC (may vary based on experience and current remuneration), along with other admissible benefits. Other benefits include HELVETAS public holidays, 2 days of the weekend, paid annual leave of 25 days and 15 days of sick leave.
