Experience:
Master’s degree in Social Sciences, Development Studies, Project Management, or relevant subjects.
At least 6 years relevant work experience in international organizations with proven track record in working on migration and development in Bangladesh.
Proven track record in manging partner organisations and establish collaboration with civil society networks, public and private sector institutions and building their capacities.
Experience in strategic planning, design and implementation of activities partnerships environment, and coordination with different team within the same organisation.
Proven expertise of designing and facilitation of training for diverse actors including CSO representatives, government functionaries and coaching filed programme staffs.
Demonstrate strong technical, analytical, and interpersonal abilities, with a particular capacity to listen attentively and provide sound advice.
Experience of working in fragile context.
Knowledge of current global and regional contemporary issues in relation to international labour migration, remittance management and financial inclusion.
Knowledge and Skills:
Strong knowledge of project cycle management, partnership principles, and compliance.
Strong understanding of governance challenges, GSE, HRBA and CSPM approaches.
Familiarity with donor requirements (e.g., SDC, EU etc.).
Highly diplomatic with strong oral and written communication, facilitation, and negotiation skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Demonstrated competences of taking initiatives and managing tasks independently.
Proven ability to work under strict deadlines, with a strong track record of being highly organized, efficient, and results oriented.

The Project Coordinator (PC) plays a pivotal role in ensuring the successful delivery of high-quality project interventions through effective coordination, partnership management, compliance oversight, and quality assurance. As implementation is carried out entirely by local partners, the PC will serve as the primary liaison to coordinate partner organizations, strengthening institutional capacities, and guiding interventions on safe migration and access to justice. Acting as the thematic focal point for safe migration, the PC will advance sustainable migration systems and uphold program standards. This position is critical in supporting partners in achieving project objectives, meeting donor compliance requirements, and maintaining the organization’s commitment to accountability, equity, and impact. Under the supervision of the Project Director of SIMS Project, the PC will oversee program implementation, coordinate with implementing partners, monitor budgets, and manage MEAL (Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, and Learning) processes to ensure quality outcomes. Additional responsibilities include maintaining stakeholder networks, enhancing project visibility, representing the organization in relevant forums, and ensuring timely and accurate reporting, documentation, and communication.
The key responsibilities for this role may include the following but are not limited to:
Key Responsibilities:
Project Coordination, quality assurance and Support:
Liaise regularly with implementing partners to ensure smooth and timely execution of planned activities.
Support partners in work planning, technical guidance, and compliance with program standards and organizational policies.
Conduct regular field visits to ensure quality assurance and identify capacity strengthening needs.
Facilitate capacity-building initiatives for partner staff in coordination with the Programme / Project Manager.
Assess and co-facilitate capacity sharing initiatives on different thematic component like – governance, gender justice, conflict sensitivity, social inclusion etc.
Partnership and Relationship Management
Build and maintain strong relationships with implementing partners for quality implementation of the project.
Facilitate regular partner coordination meetings, joint reviews, and reflection sessions with proper context analysis.
Ensure partner compliance with grant conditions, programmatic priorities, and safeguarding protocols.
Support partners in problem-solving, political and power analysis and timely escalation of issues, when necessary, with a proper contingency plan.
Share tools, templates, and best practices to support effective project management and reporting by partners.
Budget Tracking and Resource Oversight
Monitor partner`s project expenditures in coordination with the finance team to ensure alignment with approved budgets.
Support partners in financial planning and timely fund utilization and meeting financial compliances and Monitor budget utilization and variances with partners and flag discrepancies.
Assist in budget revisions, preparation of corporate budget, and forecasting based on project needs and implementation status.
Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, and Learning (MEAL)
Work closely with the MEAL team to ensure partners establish and maintain robust MEAL systems.
Coordinate the implementation of MEAL plans at the partner and field levels.
Coordinate and support documentation of lessons learned, good practices, and innovations for internal and external audiences
Contribute to regular progress reviews and ensure partner compliance with MEAL requirements.
Local Networking, Coordination and Communications
Represent the project at the local level and maintain effective relationships with community stakeholders, local authorities, and relevant networks.
Facilitate collaboration and information sharing with other actors working in the same thematic or geographic area and update the Project Management team for any new opportunity, risk and contextual changes.
Coordinate with communication teams to ensure visibility and adherence to branding requirements.
Support the organization for organizing any learning events, workshops, and community meetings.
Reporting and Documentation
Ensure partner reporting is timely, accurate, and aligned with donor and organizational requirements.
Compile and review progress reports submitted by partners and provide feedback to partners for improvements and endorse the report before submitting the final version to the MEAL and Project Management team.
Maintain organized and up-to-date documentation of project activities, correspondence, and key decisions and ensure documentation in Share Point.
Perform any other requirements or relevant assignment provided by the line manager.
In addition to the responsibilities outlined above, the incumbent may be assigned any other tasks by management that are relevant to the role profile.
