Job Context:
∎ Caritas Bangladesh (CB) is a national and non-profit development organization operating in Bangladesh since 1967. It has its Central Office in Dhaka and eight Regional Offices (Barishal, Chattogram, Dhaka, Dinajpur, Khulna, Mymensingh, Rajshahi and Sylhet Region). CB is implementing 89 on-going projects covering 189 Upazilas focusing on six main priorities i.e i) Social Welfare for Vulnerable Communities (SWVC), ii) Education and Child Development, iii) Nutrition and Health Education, iv) Disaster Management, v) Ecological Conservation and Food Security (ECFS), and vi) Development of Indigenous Peoples.
∎ Caritas Bangladesh (CB), Cox`s Bazar office is looking for suitable candidate for an immediate appointment as well as to prepare a panel list for Emergency Response to the Forcibly Displaced People of Myanmar in Bangladesh.

∎ Job Summary:
∎ Responsible for all duties and responsibilities of all kinds of activities (Relief, Rehabilitation, Technical Support) for WASH Activities implementation, technical support, Hygiene promotion and capacity building training, coordination and collaboration with related government department, technical working groups and sector. Sectorial activities including collection of information for preparing project proposal, verification of projects, making feasibility study, pre-work measurement, sketch map, Preparation of Drawing, Design, Estimate & Budget, checking of Master Roll, vouchers, attendance, maintain labor register, resolution book, report writing, conduct session, meeting, training, and workshop, etc.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Guide and assist WASH committee in community mobilization and sensitization for WASH activities.
∎ Facilitate and supervise weekly hygiene awareness campaigns in camps and host community of project areas.
∎ Provide technical support for CHPs through WASH committee in Mobilization for Hygiene and Sanitation campaigns.
∎ Carry out monthly cleaning up campaigns at WASH facilities and other camp areas.
∎ Through community volunteers/community hygiene promoters, conduct daily monitoring visit to WASH facilities to ensure that the whole WASH systems are well functional with less risks and other WASH facilities to ensure best uses.
∎ Follow up House to house hygiene session activities, prepare and compile CHPs report on weekly and monthly basis.
∎ Plan Hygiene Promotion related capacity building training for HP staff and volunteers.
∎ Monitor AGD inclusiveness WASH facilities, Women Hygiene Centers (WHC) user effectiveness monitoring and Women hygiene and dignity around MHM program.
∎ Liaise with engineers in General cleaning up campaign and ensure that solid waste is well and safely disposed.
∎ Assist the team lead in assessing Hygiene issues and needs.
∎ Provide detail plan and Post Distribution Monitoring (PDM) for Hygiene kits and top up kits distribution beside other hygiene materials.
∎ Ensure coordination and collaboration with DPHE, Sector and AWD technical working group.
∎ Draft the field visit, PDM and training reports in quality and submit to the team lead/PC/Manager.
∎ Design hygiene promotion training materials and set up training action plan in coordination with Focal agency hygiene expert.
∎ Participate in sector forums related to hygiene promotion and follow up the action plans with proper feedback.
∎ Design BCC/IEC materials related to the hygiene activities and develop the associate program.
∎ Lead PHAST and CHAST approaches to conduct awareness campaigns in the camps.
∎ Should have a clear concept and knowledge to promote and ensure gender and protection mainstreaming, equity and inclusion, core humanitarian standards, environmental sustainability, peace, and reconciliation.
∎ To perform other duties and tasks not covered in the job description assigned by his supervisor.
∎ Ensure the safety of team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment, and exploitation to achieve the program's goals on safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance, and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
∎ Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
∎ Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, encourage others to do so.

Additional Requirements:
∎ At least 03 (Three) years practical and relevant experience in Hygiene promotion, community engagement and behavioral change in camps or relevant area. (Woman will be given special priority)
∎ Good knowledge of water and sanitation issues, and hygiene practice.
∎ Good knowledge of Community mobilization, sensitizations, and skills transfer.
∎ Ability to work in high pressure and high security risk situations and be able to adapt to rapidly changing contexts.
∎ Ability to maintain performance expectations in diverse cultural contexts, psychologically stressful environments, and physical hardship conditions with limited resources.
∎ Have proficiency in computer skills of Microsoft Office (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
∎ English: fluency in the language expected to work independently using the language required, to prepare a variety of written communications (correspondence, reports, working papers, etc.) to participate actively in meetings and in work related discussions.
∎ Teamwork spirit and community mobilization and problem-solving skills
∎ Age : Maximum 40 years (as on 30.03.2022)

Salary:
∎ BDT 70,000 per month
