  • Age : Maximum 40 years (which may be relaxed for the highly experienced candidate)

  • Minimum 2-3 years working experience in a similar job and position in any NGO/INGO. (Women are strongly encouraged to apply)

  • Excellent project management skills.

  • Strong team building and team management skills

  • Strong verbal and written English communication skills.

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to detect and report inconsistencies.

  • Knowledge of local language will be given preference.

  • Good command both in English & Bangla.

  • Computer skill in both English & Bangla on MS Office.

  • Good report-writing and presentation skills.

Caritas Bangladesh (CB) is a national and non-profit development organization operating in Bangladesh since 1967. It has its Central Office in Dhaka and eight Regional Offices in Barishal, Chattogram, Dhaka, Dinajpur, Khulna, Mymensingh, Rajshahi and Sylhet. CB is implementing 91 projects covering 201 focusing upazilas on eight goals i.e. i) Social Welfare and Service of Love for Vulnerable Communities; 2) Ecological Conservation, Climate Justice and Sustainable Food System; 3) Humanitarian Response and Disaster Management; 4) Education, Skill Development and Employment Creation; 5) Health Care, Nutrition and Education; 6) Development of Indigenous Peoples; 7) Integral Human Development; and 8) Institutional Development and Sustainability.

Caritas Bangladesh (CB), Cox’s Bazar is looking for suitable candidates for immediate appointment as well as to prepare a panel list for Emergency Response to the Forcibly Displaced People of Myanmar in Bangladesh.

Further details on the position including job responsibilities, educational qualification, and other qualities /competence required for the position are provided below:

  • Oversee the implementation of hygiene and sanitation activities in line with project plans and sector guidelines.

  • Ensure compliance with hygiene standards and the quality-of-service delivery across all field activities.

  • Mobilize and engage communities to promote safe hygiene practices and prevent disease transmission.

  • Support the establishment and capacity building of WASH Committees and User Groups for community-led hygiene promotion.

  • Facilitate behaviour change initiatives through hygiene campaigns, community meetings, and interactive sessions.

  • Deliver hygiene education sessions for women, children, and other vulnerable groups on key hygiene topics.

  • Supervise hygiene volunteers, CHPs and field teams, providing day-to-day technical support and guidance.

  • Coordinate the distribution of hygiene kits/NFIs through GDT, including preparation of muster rolls, SWRs and PDM.

  • Ensure accurate and timely reporting of distributions and share relevant data with the MEAL team.

  • Support hygiene-related assessments and ensure accurate data collection using Kobo or similar tools.

  • Develop and apply hygiene activity monitoring tools and track progress against agreed targets.

  • Collect, analyze and report hygiene data and contribute to internal and donor reporting requirements.

  • Participate in JART assessments and follow up on action points to ensure effective implementation.

  • Organize and implement community hygiene campaigns and support the observance of global hygiene events.

  • Liaise with SMSD, government authorities and partners to ensure effective coordination and collaboration.

  • Attend WASH coordination meetings and represent the hygiene promotion component effectively.

  • Monitor and analyze waste collection data, calculate per-household waste generation and recommend corrective actions.

  • Lead hygiene responses during AWD outbreaks and coordinate water container cleaning interventions.

  • Perform other duties as assigned to support overall WASH and community engagement objectives.

  • Assist the Coordinator/Manager in planning, scheduling and implementing project activities.



Job Other Benifits:
    • Salary : 60,000/- Taka only (Consolidated)
