Job Context:
∎ ANANDO (NGO) implementing integrated development programs along with Rohingya Response program with the financial support from different national & international donors. We are inviting application for the following position.
∎ WASH Coordinator Contractual position and it may extended depend on donor fund and incumbents performance.
∎ The WASH Coordinator will work with Anando and project staff to implement, monitoring and reporting of WASH activities, hygiene promotion activities, and sanitation hardware as part of an appropriate WASH response that meets the needs of the affected population in line with the Population Movement Epos and adapting interventions as the situation evolves.
∎ The WASH Coordinator is expected to ensure that WASH activities including Hygiene promotion activities are planned and carried out in accordance with Anando WASH plan and budget for the response in coordination with respective cluster and other agencies supporting WASH activities and responds according to local needs and context. The Wash Coordinator will actively participate and support continual assessment and monitoring of WASH activities and work closely with other technical areas to ensure coordinated approaches.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Liaison with the Executive Director (ED) to determine relief material and staff needs.
∎ Work closely with the Response team to continually assess WASH needs related to the population movement and continue to plan and adapt appropriate responses.
∎ Support and train Hygiene Promoters, volunteers and staffs in aspects of technical sanitation and Hygiene awareness as required.
∎ Ensure Hygiene Promotion activities are integrated with other sectored interventions to meet the needs of the targeted population and ensure protection, gender and inclusion elements as well as community engagement and accountability measures are included in WASH planning and implementation.
∎ Contribute to the monitoring of the effectiveness of WASH activities and provide regular, timely and accurate information for narrative reporting purposes.
∎ Prepare reports, presentations and case studies of WASH activities as and when needed.
∎ Facilitate and organize different WASH trainings, Hygiene Promotion awareness, workshops, meetings in collaboration with other agencies.
∎ Represent Anando as required for WASH coordination in cluster meetings and/or other networks.
∎ Develop and maintain of strategic relationships with local stakeholders, local authorities and in-country donor representatives.
∎ Coordinate security protocol for emergency relief service delivery.
∎ Ensure all project activities are conducted in accordance with agreed work-plan and proposal.
∎ Submit monthly reports to ED, including activity summary, progress against objectives, services delivered, beneficiary caseload data, achievement to date, issues faced, impact stories and financial expenditure.
∎ Maintain regular and effective communication with field staff and head office through both verbal and written correspondence.
∎ UNDERSTANDING AND ANALYZING THE WATER, SANITATION, AND HYGIENE SECTOR IN COX'S BAZAR
∎ Collect and analyze primary and secondary data from different sources related to the WaSH sector in Cox's Bazar, especially focusing in the Rohingya Camps.
∎ Identify the needs of the most vulnerable populations and design and conduct relevant needs assessments on WASH activities at Camps.
∎ Propose cost-effective and high-impact responses according to identified needs of WASH.
∎ Proactively participate in the revision and implementation of Anando's WaSH strategy.
∎ Design and develop WASH projects in coordination with other technical departments (if required), administration and logistics departments.
∎ Ensure the technical relevance of Anando projects, by providing expertise, assertive and efficient inputs to each program.
∎ Initiate and represent Anando in relevant external coordination meetings (Technical Working Groups, national and local authorities, and WaSH partners).
∎ Ensure effective communication with stakeholders involved in WASH (data sharing and brainstorming) and with local authorities involved in project definition and/or implementation.
∎ Analyse and suggest effective operational partnerships and oversight on the quality of implementation and monitoring of programmes.
∎ ENSURE QUALITY AND EQUITY CONTROL, FOLLOW UP AND MONITORING
∎ Ensure quality, pertinence, innovation, efficiency, and effectiveness of the multisectorial WaSH programs and interventions.
∎ Participate in the development of technical and innovation tools related to WaSH projects (Monitoring tools, Technical requirements, ToRs for consultants and evaluators, ad hoc reports, capitalization reports ) in direct relation with Programme Coordinator and Executive Director.
∎ Participate in workshops and ad hoc meetings related to WaSH areas of intervention and provide minutes of meetings.
∎ Review, update and edit documents produced by the WaSH team.
∎ WASH TEAM SUPPORT AND CAPACITY BUILDING
∎ Participate in the recruitment and assess the capacity of the team, suggest and conduct trainings, and propose new recruitments whenever required
∎ Support to the team through coordination meetings and capacity building initiatives
∎ Identify the WaSH team training needs and propose training plans to the staff and HR
∎ SUPPORT PROJECT IMPLEMENTATION, FOLLOW-UP AND MONITORING AND CONDUCT INTERNAL EVALUATIONS OF PROJECT QUALITY
∎ Define program implementation modalities and methodologies, from emergency relief to long term actions.
∎ Analyze the appropriateness, adequacy and potential impact of all interventions based on known contexts and needs.
∎ Suggest, support and develop evaluations and reports linked with the ongoing projects to be shared with supervisory staff.
∎ Identify, jointly with the WASH team, program constraints and problems during implementation, propose solutions and support implementation.
∎ Support for the effective implementation of WaSH programs, developing monitoring and reporting tools and efficient use of resources in close coordination with administration and logistics
∎ SUPPORT HUMANITARIAN ACTIVITIES OF ANANDO
∎ Support the emergency interventions of the organization as per the employee's abilities.
∎ Support any activity that helps reaching our humanitarian goals, as per the employee's abilities.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at most 45 years
∎ 06 years working experience on WASH Program and among them at least 02 years experience in similar position. S/he must have skills on MS Office, reporting and others related e-documentation. Experience on Rohingya Response at Cox's Bazar will be given preference.
∎ At least 06 years working experience in the humanitarian or development sector, with a focus on WASH. Demonstrated professional credibility in the WASH sector and experience working in an international or cross-cultural environment.
∎ Demonstrated experience implementing WASH hardware activities and Hygiene promotion
∎ Experience working in faucal sludge management (sanitation chain)
∎ Knowledge of WASH and public health and experience in practically applying this knowledge in humanitarian context
∎ Skill on designing Hygiene promotion activities, Water points and latrines and good command in design software, Auto CAD etc.
∎ Results oriented and demand driven individual, entrepreneurial, ability to lead in unprecedented and/or ambiguous situations.
∎ Outstanding networking, representational, communication and negotiation skills. An ability to be proactive and persuasive.
∎ Demonstrated track record in innovating, contributing to a learning culture, sharing knowledge and new approaches to engaging partners.
