2-5 years of hands-on working experiences with visa processing – ideally from a Schengen Embassy.
Perfect knowledge of the Bangla and the English languages. Knowledge of Danish is a plus.

About the position
The Embassy is looking for one (1) Visa and Consular Officer to support mainly the Embassy’s Visa Section. You will be part of a dynamic Visa Team that handles a wide range of tasks, ensuring the smooth operation of the Embassy’s visa related processes. Also, we are looking for a positive personality and results-oriented, professional, self-motivated staff, who is keen to work with the Embassy.
The position may be applied for by a citizen of Bangladesh or an EU/Schengen national with good knowledge of the Bangla and the English languages. Knowledge of Danish is not necessary but would be a plus. The person must be living legally in Bangladesh with unlimited work permit.
Main Tasks and Responsibilities
Receive visa applications from the Visa Application Centre for visa and residence/work permits and ensure proper documentation.
Process and register applications in UMVIS and AREAL.
Verification of passports and assess visa applications.
Interview visa applicants.
Printing visa stickers.
Regular communication (through email and telephone) with the applicants, the Visa Application Centre, the Danish Immigration Service, the Norwegian Directorate of Immigration, Danish and Bangladeshi companies etc.
Respond to general inquiries regarding visa and residence/work permits.
Contribute to the day-to-day operation for running of the Visa Section activities including filing of applications, updating webpage and receive information from the other sources.
Carry out any other responsibility as required from time to time by the Embassy management.
Employment Conditions
You will be offered a full-time one (1) employment. The contract is based on the Staff Rules of the Embassy. The position is subject to a three (3) months` initial probation period.
Your employment is subject to successful security clearance.
Working hours are 37 hours per week.
You will be entitled to twenty (20) days of paid holiday per year.
