Educational Requirements:
∎ Bachelor degree in any discipline
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Planning-5%
∎ Prepare monthly, quarterly & annual action plan
∎ Project Implementation and Management-80%
∎ Make functional of SHGs and Apex body consisting of mothers/guardians of orphan children;
∎ Introduce group-led savings, small loan & Qard-al-Hasana;
∎ Ensure health check-up for orphan children and their family members through linkage with government health service providers;
∎ Arrange awareness sessions for mothers to increase knowledge on health, hygiene & nutritional practices through mother groups;
∎ Ensure mother group meeting on weekly basis;
∎ Conduct regular school visits for ensuring selected children’s school attendance;
∎ Ensure 100% enrolment in educational institutes;
∎ Conduct regular meetings with school teachers/SMCs;
∎ Take part in awareness meetings with the guardians through mothers’ group;
∎ Initiate to observe different national & international days;
∎ Take part in WASH-related activities for the orphan family;
∎ Make functional of child clubs and child-led networks;
∎ Ensure business plan for HHs and 14+ orphan children;
∎ Visit households of sponsored children quarterly;
∎ Collect educational result cards and document
∎ Capacity Building-5%
∎ Arrange skill training for mothers/guardians of orphan children;
∎ Conduct leadership, group management and financial management training for leaders of mothers’ group.
∎ Advocacy & Communication-5%
∎ Do advocacy and networking especially with related government departments from where benefits for orphan children can be ensured
∎ Reporting-5%
∎ Prepare monthly, quarterly & annual report of OSP;
∎ Collect the most significant case studies;
∎ Collect annual progress report, drawing & greeting card, prepare & translate where needed
∎ Being a member of Islamic Relief as a child-friendly organization, it is the core responsibility and obligation of each and every staff member to understand and obey the IR Child Protection Policy & Other Safeguarding policy and respond accordingly as and when required.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Only females are allowed to apply
∎ Working knowledge of Microsoft Word/ Excel/PowerPoint/Adobe Photoshop/ Basic Internet/ etc.
∎ Excellent Reading/Writing/Speaking/Listening skill for English & Bengali
