2–4 years of professional experience in video editing or post-production.

Strong portfolio/reel demonstrating video editing, motion graphics, and storytelling capabilities.

Proficiency in industry-standard software as listed above.

Job Summary:

Northern University Bangladesh is seeking a talented Video Editor to join its Marketing & Creative team. The candidate will edit and produce high-quality video content for digital platforms, social media, events, and marketing campaigns. A strong portfolio, creative storytelling ability, and technical expertise in video production are essential.

Key Responsibilities:

Edit raw footage into polished video content with clear narrative structure.

Apply color correction, grading, sound design, and motion graphics to enhance visual storytelling.

Collaborate with the marketing and creative teams to ensure videos align with brand identity and campaign goals.

Organize project files, manage timelines, and maintain efficient workflows.

Stay updated on industry trends, new software tools, and AI-based editing technologies.

Provide feedback and guidance to junior video production staff when necessary.

Technical & Creative Skills:

Editing Software Proficiency: Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut Pro, Avid Media Composer.

Sound Design & Editing: Cleaning audio, balancing levels, layering music/effects.

Color Correction & Grading: Adjust lighting, exposure, and color for consistent mood.

Motion Graphics & VFX: Basic animations, titles, and effects using Adobe After Effects.

Shortcut Utilization & Codec Knowledge: Efficient workflow and proper exporting.

Storytelling & Narrative Skills: Structuring footage with compelling pacing, rhythm, and visual composition.

Attention to Detail & Organization: Ensuring precision, maintaining organized project folders.

Communication & Teamwork: Collaborating effectively with directors, producers, and team members.

Adaptability & Self-Motivation: Ability to work independently, accept feedback, and perform under pressure.
