- Edit video footage to create cohesive and visually compelling news segments
- Collaborate with reporters and producers to understand the vision and storytelling goals for each piece
- Review raw footage and identify the best shots to include in the final editAdd graphics, text, and effects to enhance storytelling and viewer engagement
- Ensure all edited videos meet the organization’s quality and journalistic standards
- Work under tight deadlines to deliver breaking news segments in a timely manner
- Manage and organize video files and assets for easy retrieval and archival purposes
- Incorporate feedback from producers and editorial staff to refine the final product
- Stay updated with the latest video editing software and technology trends
- Ensure proper color correction, sound mixing, and final output format for broadcast and digital platforms
