Responsibilities & Context:
The Veterinary Doctor will be responsible for providing professional medical care to pets (mainly cats and dogs), performing surgical procedures, and ensuring a high standard of animal welfare. The role includes preventive healthcare, diagnosis, and treatment of diseases, as well as performing spay/neuter surgeries and emergency care.
Key Responsibilities:
Medical Care & Treatment:
Conduct routine health check-ups and diagnose pet illnesses.
Prescribe and administer appropriate medications and vaccinations.
Perform surgeries, including spay and neuter procedures, especially for cats.
Provide emergency treatment when required.
Pet Health Consultation:
Educate pet owners on nutrition, preventive care, and hygiene.
Maintain clear and detailed medical records of all patients.
Offer guidance on pet behavior and long-term health plans.
Clinic Operations:
Ensure the cleanliness and proper sterilization of all equipment and treatment areas.
Collaborate with clinic staff and management to improve service quality.
Monitor stock of medical supplies and report any requirements.
Client Relations:
Build strong relationships with pet owners through trust and professional communication.
Maintain a compassionate and friendly approach to both pets and clients.
