Educational Requirements:
∎ Bachelor in Engineering (BEngg)
∎ Bachelor's degree / diploma Engineering in Civil, Environmental Engineering, Water Resources Engineering or Construction Management with 5 years working experience with INGO in Community based WASH construction and management, or Diploma in Civil Engineering with 8 -10 years' experience in community based WASH construction and management.
Experience Requirements:
∎ At least 5 year(s)
Job Responsibilities:
∎ To implement NJP construction intervention at field level
∎ To facilitate, monitor and coach Water Management Committees so that they can keep their water points functional.
∎ Conduct regular monitoring visit to the Water Management Committees' activity and keep updated water points monitoring database and take rapid action for strengthening comparatively less active committees.
∎ Facilitate Water Management Committees for regular maintenance of their water points and provide appropriate technical support in this regard.
∎ To facilitate RO Management Committee as well as caretakers to operate the RO plant smoothly and overcome any technical challenges.
∎ To oversee water point's businesses models/tariff collection system especially RO (Reverse Osmosis plant) as well as provide suitable facilitation as they can run well.
∎ Monitor periodic water quality testing status of NJP established water points by the Water Management Committees and keep updated database.
∎ Work as a catalyzer among DPHE, WASTAN Committee and water management committees so that they continue their shared support from respective end and create an effective relation with relevant stakeholders in that regard.
∎ To enhance the capacity of Water Management Committees, LSP, WASTAN Committees through providing technical guidance and trainings.
∎ Keep updated and provide all sorts of technical data, report and information to the next level for next course of action.
∎ Prepare required water, sanitation point's design and BoQ as directed by supervisor.
∎ Supervise and monitor the works of construction vendors and ensure that the works are delivered in a timely manner.
∎ Prepare any sorts of construction billing as required maintaining transparency and following project guidelines.
∎ Providing technical assistance and support in BHA resilience project technical intervention.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Knowledge on WASH technical and construction management methods
∎ Extensive knowledge on WASH program and Stakeholder management, construction procedures for water supply and sanitation technologies.
∎ Oral and written communication skills in English and Bengali
∎ Ability to drive a motorbike
∎ Valid motorbike license or willingness to attain one
∎ Computer literacy, including the ability to use Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Auto CAD. G-Suit.
∎ Minimum 5-10 years' experience in WASH Program Management and construction management activity
∎ Experience working on water provision projects
∎ Experience on water point caretaker training, mason & mechanic training WASH business training and staff technical training
∎ Experience in coordination with multiple stakeholders
∎ Experience in working with a bigger team
∎ Dealing with relevant stakeholders related to WASH program intervention
Salary:
∎ Salary is fixed as per organizational structure and policy.
