Experience:

• At least 3 years

• Master's degree in Development Studies / Social Science or a related field.

• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Knowledge of local Government, CSO, and community engagement practices

• Familiarity with the Socio-Economic context of Mymensingh and Netrokona districts.

• Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned Upazila

• English: Fluent in spoken and written

• Computer skills: Very good skills in MS Office applications-word/excel/power point presentation, database and familiar with Internet zoom, skype. Typing speed must be consider as better option.

• Excellent project management and organizational development skills.

• Strong understanding of Rights of Minorities, Rights based project interventions, Strengthening local CSO.

• Women and Persons with disabilities will get special consideration based on their qualification and experience.

Name of Project: Initiative for Human Rights and Environmental Protection (IHREP)

Job Context

We are seeking applications from the qualified local candidates for a project implemented by PCC and funded by European Union in different upazilas of Mymensingh and Netrokona districts. At least 3 years of professional experience on Community development, Social Empowerment, Livelihood development, Rights based interventions, Climate Change, Environment protection and Disability inclusion with any National or International organization is required.

Reportable: Project Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the day -to-day implementation of project activities as the Upazila level

• Coordinate with local government officials, community leaders, CSOs and other stakeholders.

• Supervise and support field staff including Community Mobilizers

• Monitor field activities and provide timely updates t the project manager.

• Ensure effective Community, CSOs, and other shareholders engagements and mobilization.

• Identify and address challenges to project implementation.

• Ensure skills and capacity building of the targeted CSOs of the assigned Upazila

• Ensure smooth implementation of the human rights issues in collaboration with the targeted CSOs.

• Ensure smooth implementation of Environment protection issue in collaboration with the targeted CSOs.

• Identify risks and its mitigation strategies in consultation with the project management.

• Maintain effective and functional networks with targeted CSOs and other services providers

• Monitor the progress of the CSOs in the assigned area and take corrective measures.

• Coordinate the project’s activities in the assigned area and ensure the achievement of the targeted goal and objectives accordingly.

• Prepare and execute the development plans for the Leaders and members of CSOs of the assigned area.

• Ensure 100% achievement of the Project activities.

• Prepare and submit required reports and document to the project manager.

• Monitor the progress of the project and take corrective measures

• Assist the project team to achieve project goal and objectives in line with donor’s requirements.

• Arrange and assist internal and external visitor’s visit programs.

• Accomplish other activities assigned by the Management
