- Minimum 5 years of professional experience in livelihood development, agriculture, livestock, dairy value chains, SME development, entrepreneurship development.
- Experience working with NGOs, INGOs, or donor-funded development projects is required.
- Previous experience working with persons with disabilities and vulnerable communities will be highly preferred.
Technical Knowledge
- Livestock production and management systems.
- Dairy value chain development and market systems approaches.
- Sustainable livelihood approaches and rural economic development.
- Climate-smart agriculture and climate change adaptation.
- Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) and resilience-building.
- Entrepreneurship and small enterprise development.
- Government extension services, social protection programs, and stakeholder coordination mechanisms.
Skills and Competencies
- Strong skills in community mobilization, training and capacity building, analytical thinking, planning, problem-solving, communication, coordination, negotiation, and stakeholder networking
- Experience in project implementation, monitoring, documentation, and reporting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Ability to work independently and effectively under challenging field conditions.
- Fluency in Bangla and good written and spoken English.
- A valid motorcycle driving license is mandatory, with the ability and willingness to ride a motorcycle for regular field visits in remote project areas.

Position Summary
The Livelihood Officer will play a key role in planning, implementing, coordinating, and monitoring livelihood interventions under the ILPWDVD Project. The position will focus on income generation, livestock and dairy development, market linkage, climate-resilient livelihoods, social business initiatives, and entrepreneurship development for persons with disabilities and vulnerable households.
Key Responsibilities
- Promote sustainable livelihood and social business initiatives by supporting the establishment and management of livelihood enterprises, producer groups, milk collection centers, and market linkage systems to enhance income generation and economic opportunities for project participants.
- Support establishment and management of milk collection, aggregation, chilling, and dairy product marketing systems.
- Identify profitable and climate-resilient income-generating activities (IGAs) for persons with disabilities and vulnerable households.
- Develop and facilitate training on livestock, agriculture, entrepreneurship, climate adaptation, disaster preparedness, and livelihood development.
- Strengthen coordination and partnerships with government agencies, NGOs, private sector actors, financial institutions, community organizations, and local service providers to facilitate technical support, extension services and sustainable livelihood development for project participants.
- Support project planning, implementation, monitoring, evaluation, documentation, reporting, data management, and capacity building of volunteers, producer groups, and community-based organizations to ensure effective and sustainable project outcomes.
- Ensure integration of disability inclusion, gender equality, safeguarding, and climate resilience approaches in project implementation.
- Support emergency response, recovery, and rehabilitation activities when required.
Job Other Benifits: - Monthly Salary: BDT 45,000.00 during the probation period.
- Upon successful completion of the probation period, the employee will be entitled to:
o Provident Fund (PF) as per PCC policy;
o Risk Allowance as per project and organizational policy; and
o Other admissible benefits in accordance with PCC's Human Resource Policies and project provisions.
- Festival Bonus and other benefits will be provided as per organizational policy.
