Job Context:

∎ As a result of an ongoing change management program globally and a broad commitment to step-change, on their behalf we are looking to secure a highly experienced Director, Transformation.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ If selected for this significant and highly visible role, your responsibilities will include:
∎ Lead, direct, and control all aspects of a sales and marketing function including market research and sales forecasting; pricing, sales and merchandising activities; marketing campaigns, advertising, and promotions.
∎ Business development activities that fall under this role include; customer service; invoicing and credit and payment administration, ensuring policies, procedures, and company expectation are adhered to.
∎ Collaborative business planning to develop a sales and marketing strategy that is consistent with the organisation's overall mission, vision, and long-term objectives.
∎ Negotiate terms of sales with major clients that will maximise the organisation's business interests.
∎ Establish targets in product mix, sales volume, market share, or business development and monitor the performance.
∎ Liaise with senior executives across the organisation to ensure that sales and marketing strategies and activities are integrated with other parts of the business and align with the overall corporate objectives.
∎ Lead, direct, evaluate, and develop a team of sales and marketing managers to achieve established sales and profit goals.
∎ Work with the Logistics Manager to identify opportunities and implement improvement solutions for outbound logistics to maximize supply chain efficiency, reliability, timeliness, and cost effectiveness.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Proven experience leading the sales and marketing department of a large-scale building materials business.
∎ Demonstrable experience in leading large-scale transformational change.
∎ Knowledge and experience working in a demanding distribution environment is essential.
∎ Strategic and analytical thinking is essential.
∎ Prove ability to influence and negotiate at all levels of an organization is essential.
∎ Highly developed communications skills, essential.
∎ Outstanding coaching, influencing and interpersonal skills are prerequisite.
∎ Fluent English (both verbal and written)
