∎ To implement the self-reliance and environment protection project, we are looking for an experienced and potential Trainer-Waste Management to provide waste collection, sorting, manual cleaning and cutting of waste materials training for the project beneficiaries.
∎ Working Conditions:
∎ Working days from Sunday to Thursday, 40 hours per week. This position may be required to work some extra hours to meet the deadline/ attending meetings/ special events etc.
∎ Any other tasks assigned by the supervisor from time to time.
∎ Yearly renewable contract based on fund availability and performance.
∎ Have to follow ICCO HR, Admin and Finance related policy.
∎ Duration of contract is till December 2020 (with the possibility of extension depending on fund availability).

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Overall Responsibilities:
∎ The role of the Trainer-Waste Management is to train the Rohingya beneficiaries in collection of waste materials from WFP food distribution, nutrition and learning centres, sorting, cleaning and shaping the materials processing. He/She will also be responsible for processing of the waste materials using different processing machines.
∎ Specific Responsibilities:
∎ Developing training module/plan on waste collection, sorting, cleaning and processing for the Rohingya beneficiaries.
∎ Assisting Community Mobilizers' in the field to select potential beneficiaries for taking part in the training following WFP criteria.
∎ Ensuringing procurement of all training materials in consultation with the 'Centre in Charge'.
∎ Organizing and facilitating non-residential training courses/ refresher training sessions at camp level for 150 Rohingya beneficiaries
∎ Ensuring proper maintenance of the waste management and processing machines and equipments.
∎ Assisting in the procurement of safety materials along with waste collection equipments following a competitive bidding process
∎ Supervise the activities of the trainees and record keeping of the amount of waste collection and processing per day.
∎ Maintaining quality of the processed materials.
∎ Select and engage local resources (local trainers) as co-facilitators for the courses.
∎ Identify and locate resources and services from internal and external (UP, Govt, NGOs) sources for the participants.
∎ Participate in meetings, events organized by other stakeholders and represent the project and ICCO Cooperation properly
∎ Prepare and submit reports monthly/ weekly as required by the projects and the supervisors
∎ The duties and responsibilities may change as per requirements.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Minimum 3 years of work experience in waste management projects.
∎ Must be able to speak the local dialect /Chittagong language.
∎ Female candidates strongly preferred.
∎ Experience with NGOs development work preferred.
∎ Punctual and good at time management and strong relationship building skills
∎ Understanding of protection issues facing our beneficiaries.
∎ An affinity with low-income consumers and producers.
∎ Good verbal and written communication skills in Bengali.
∎ Willingness to drive motorcycle with valid license will be an added value for the position.
